The Relation of Guimarães ordered the release of a 19-year old after concluding that he was imprisoned illegally about four months, according to a judgment of the appealling court.

The young man in question was convicted in two cases, one in Póvoa de Lanhoso and another in Guimarães, where a trial judge held that the punishment fit should result from an accumulation of two legal cases.

Later, the judge at first instance found that the sentence Guimarães and Póvoa de Lanhoso has not transited in court, so he gave earlier order to eliminate previous dispatch and ordered the defendant immediately begin serving the sentence of the order process of Guimarães.

The Relation of Guimarães understood, however, that the retreat would no longer be legally possible and ordered in the judgment of the 18th, that the accused be released.
