Maddie: PJ already has letters rogatory and prepares steps
Inspectors will not be the same as investigating the disappearance
By: Drafting / Marisa Rodriguez | 23/08/2013 14:33
[video]
The Judicial Police is already in possession of the letter rogatory from the Madeleine McCann case, the missing child in the Algarve in 2007. This is a list of steps that will be made at the request of the British police, who declined to be interviewed more than 30 witnesses, that have already been heard by the PJ. However, British researchers consider that there were questions that remained to be done and clues that were not exploited until exhaustion. A letter rogatory is extensive and will be enforced by the Board of the South in Faro.
Any displacement of a delegation of British police in the Algarve is not yet certain and will be articulated with the prosecution, but it is certain that, once in the country, they can not be to perform the steps. Can only watch what the Portuguese police do. inspectors that will give effect to the letters rogatory will not be the same as investigating the disappearance. The team is already established, only not yet know when will start the steps. The PGR has secured more than once, that there is no evidence to justify the reopening of the investigation, filed in 2008, one year after the disappearance.

Any shrieks and sounds of breaking glass you may hear coming from Portugal are the sound of Team Gonc kissing goodbye to their last, slender chance of keeping their shirts and throwing copies of The Truth - I'm A Liar through their TVs.

The video is worth watching, by the way, not least so viewers can relive the horror of that woman dusting the window for fingerprints with her hair all over the place and an ungloved hand....

Re: Portuguese news: PJ now have UK rogatory letters
It was always going to go this way. More shame on Britain for taking so long. But Amaral and his version of The PJ were never going to get away with what they did indefinitely.
And even more shame on the whole of Portugal for allowing this, when they knew full well that there was some sort of Fascist Mafia going on in The Algarve.
I am disgusted with Britain and Portugal.

Re: Portuguese news: PJ now have UK rogatory letters
My friends, here it is the accurate translation:
http://www.tvi24.iol.pt/503/sociedade/maddie-madeleine-pj-tvi24/1482580-4071.html
Maddie: PJ already has rogatory letters and prepares steps
Inspectors will not be the same that investigated the disappearance in Praia da Luz.
Translation:
The UK authorities requested, the PGR accepted, the investigations will truly happen.
The rogatory letter about the Madeleine McCann case is already in the hands of PJ.
From the list of investigations, are inquiries of more than 30 witnesses, people that have already been listened by PJ, but the British considers that have many questions to be answered and leads that have not been exploited until exhaustion, in what was the most expensive investigation in Portugal.
The rogatory letter is extensive and will be attended by the Directory of South in Faro, the possible dislocation of a team of British policemen to Algarve is not yet certain, but it will be articulated by the Public Ministry but it is certain that once in Portugal, they cannot conduct the investigations, they can only assist about what PT police will do.
The PGR also guaranteed more than once, that there are not yet new evidences to justify the re-open of the case, shelved in 2008, one year later from the disappearance.
The investigators that will proceed to the rogatory letter, will not be the same that investigated the disappearance in Praia da Luz.
The team is already created, what is not known yet is when will they start the investigations.

Re: Portuguese news: PJ now have UK rogatory letters
Thank you, Pedro, that is much smoother.
Now, try not to laugh at pretendypete trying to assure the hounders all is well...
These are TIE
Trace, Interview ELIMINATE, that are not quite up to standard. Nothing more. The sort of thing the DI would hand you back and tell you to do again, take another statement covering the half hour before or after.
Not a single suspect to be seen.
Are they in fact cutting off any line of defence. All alibis checked and destroyed, all "sightings" investigated and ruled out.
Everything else ruled out so that
when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth
1. Do they seriously believe that the groundwork is still to be done? Read the sig vvvvvvv
Neither her parents or any member of the group are either persons of interest or suspects
That big enough to grasp? Good!
2. The 'impossible' HAS been eliminated; it is IMPOSSIBLE for any scenario besides abduction to have taken place.
Unless they're clinging onto crap about creches, clones, etc., to give them hope?

It would have been a bit hard, as they're all in disgrace. That's good, though, Gonc and co are totally out of the loop this time.
Less chance of anything blowing off desks, out windows, and into the waiting arms of CdM employees.

Oh Golly Gosh, is that why we haven't heard anything? They are all behaving like proper Policemen.bb1 wrote:Inspectors will not be the same that investigated the disappearance in Praia da Luz.

And I am finding it increasingly difficult to believe that PeterMac was anymore than a tea boy. Surely even a bad policeman could not be that awful.

They really are idiots, aren't they? They seem to have managed to wipe from their minds the 'scoping' BEFORE the review started.
Are they really so dumb, they think the basics weren't all done then? No, they can't be. They're just spouting this rubbish because they can't face the truth.

They don't have a clue how things work in the world, as we know. This makes us laugh at them all the more as so called 'armchair detectives'.
Wrong about everything all the time.

They seem to have no idea of how ridiculous they look. I wonder if any of them will ever have an original thought, say something they haven't said 100 times before?

Re: Portuguese news: PJ now have UK rogatory letters
A perfect example of what I mean:
Nick Bennett @njbennett
@jontait42 Let me know if you get a convincing answer from the pros about the broken/jemmied shutters lies, as I've yet to hear one. #McCann
Did the PJ find third-party hearsay in tabloids of the slightest interest or relevance? No!
That, six years on, the McCann-haters are STILL obsessed with 'shutters' serves only to illustrate what a feeble grasp on reality they have.
And what possible difference does it make what 'pros' say, anyway? Even the use of cliches like 'pros' is rather wince-making.

My friends, this was taken from Correio da Manhã newspaper:
http://www.cmjornal.xl.pt/detalhe/noticias/ultima-hora/ingleses-pedem-para-ouvir-testemunhas
translation:
reopening of the case is still to be decided.
British request to hear witnesses.
Maddie case on the table.
The British have already sent to the Attorney General's Office the rogatory letter to ask the Judicial Police to inquire again some witnesses related with the Madeleine case.
The document has not yet reached the Judicial Police of Faro, but when it happens, the proceedings shall be fulfilled.
A new examination of cross-examination of other witnesses or heard at the time of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann do not challenge the dismissal of the case.
The process can only be reopened in Portugal, the Judicial Police understand that some of the testimonials represent new evidence.
One of the witnesses that the British authorities want to be heard is a taxi driver who claims to have transported the girl, that night, in the company of adults.
The man has made himself available to testify, must now formally testify in PJ of Faro.

Good; exactly when this business with the taxi occurred needs to be settled.
I notice CdM is sticking to the party line that it was the 3rd, whereas the driver is insistent that it was the 4th.
Indeed, the version that it was the 3rd seems to have started in Portuguese tabloids.

Police yet to agree to joint probe in Madeleine case
Updated: 23-Aug-2013
A team of detectives investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann is expected to fly to Portugal “in the coming weeks” to explore new leads.
Scotland Yard is awaiting approval from the Portuguese authorities after British Home Secretary Theresa May requested permission for British police to carry out further investigations.
This latest development was revealed last week by Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe.
The announcement followed the Yard’s Operation Grange which identified 38 potential suspects from five countries, including 12 Britons.
A Scotland Yard team is hoping to carry out a joint inquiry with Portuguese police in a bid to solve the mystery.
As part of the review, officers from the 30-strong squad travelled to Portugal 16 times to discuss evidence and the potential for new inquiries.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Redwood said: “The review has given us new thinking, new theories, new evidence and new witnesses. We remain committed to finding out what happened to Madeleine. Everything we do is utterly focused on her best interests.”
Madeleine went missing in 2007 at an Algarve resort in Praia da Luz, where she was staying on holiday with her family.

Doesn't seem much new in that one - maybe it was published before the news about the rogatory letters was known?
