Veritas really did pull Bennett's covers revealing him as he is. The hounders can defend him to the end of time but can never change what he is.

Similarly, by giving themselves titles like 'researcher' doesn't make them so. The world thanks them for that.   

IMO, smiffy scored a direct hit on Bennett, or Bennett wouldn't have lost control of himself so spectacularly? Most people had forgotten all the old stuff about balding tramps, so it was jolly thoughtful of Bennett to repost it all, accompanied by screeches of outrage.

Tony in particular has stuck his neck on the block and has a pending jail sentence hanging over his head for his troubles.
