There will be a public outcry if the case ends as it did for the PJ 5+ years, that is being shelved due to lack of evidence, and David Cameron's poor judgement and waste of public money will be used against him when the electioneering begins.

Do the forkers ever take their hategoggles off long enough to grasp what is going on in the real world? Anyone sane knows that the McCann case is pretty much BOTTOM of Cameron's list of things to worry about.
