Re: Met statement - now investigating five new reports of attacks on children in PDL area
Oh dear, the McCann-haters are now clinging desperately to a radio interview with one Paul Luckman to give them hope.
That's the same Paul Luckman that edits that well-known ex-pat news sheet Portugal News. The same one that's chummy with Amaral.
I don't think we'll be paying too much attention to someone with such obvious bias, whose interests are not being served by all these revelations about the Algarve he's helped keep under the carpet being aired in public.

Op Grange: Portuguese police rejected a request from Met Police to form a joint investigation. The relationship is very tense & difficult
11:20 PM - 23 Apr 2014
Not surprising, if Portugal wants to sweep these attacks under the carpet and blame the dead black guy.

They need to take the bull by the horns and get on with it. It is not going away and they will be the better for it.

Portuguese ex-pats trying to cover up yet again:
http://portugalresident.com/maddie-anniversary-brings-shock-new-revelations
When will this end?” One asked us, visibly crestfallen. “A NEW sexual assault on a child, in Luz? Why have we never heard about it until now? And why are we hearing about it just in time for the 7th anniversary of the disappearance?”
Others were more belligerent. “These latest revelations are simply beyond belief”, a former British policeman who has been actively following investigations told us.
“The totally Flat man - who managed to hide behind the door against the wall when Gerry (Madeleine’s father) entered the room to do his check (just before Madeleine went missing), and Tannerman who was of medium slim build, and Smithman, who was not potbellied, and the Heroin Blackman have all suddenly been dropped in favour of trying to trace potbellied Smellyman - a fat man who can leap in a single bound through a tiny window, and take a sleeping child, whilst sedating two others in a way unknown to modern medical science, and then leap out again and VANISH without leaving his distinctive smell.
“It is all too ridiculous to even try to take on board”...
But “take on board” has been the order of the day for years.
News services simply repeat verbatim news purportedly coming from Scotland Yard, and occasionally even news reported to have come from PJ police in Portugal. And, as the little village of Praia da Luz bravely continues to try and turn the page, it appears likely to remain this way.
'Bravely'? I don't think so - the one going on about 'Smellyman' and making idiotic remarks is very obviously parrotting the script from one of the McCann-hating sites.
Not to mention being Spanish ex-pat dirtymac, Bennett's close chum. Wonder if he's going to clean the dogs*t from his pool area this holiday season?
Do the ex-pats really imagine that helps their image with the wider world?
And there's nothing 'brave' about trying to sweep crimes against children under the carpet to protect property values or to stop nasty little secrets coming out.
Perhaps the ex-pats could try hoping that this scum is found and dealt with by the courts? Perhaps the ex-pats could try hoping that Madeleine's abductor is found and dealt with by the courts?
They might find PDL sounds a little less like the Village of the Damned. Or Royston Vasey.

Re: Met statement - now investigating five new reports of attacks on children in PDL area
Hounder:
I take it PeterM is the former British policeman who said about flatman and the others and how ridiculous it all is. Well done PeterM, hope one of our Nationals has the botttle to quote from this article.
IMO that article should be printed in every newspaper in the land and quoted on every news channel.
Yes, we live in hope of that too.
Along with remarks from dirtymac about young girls, 'positions' and 'clothing'. Along with dirtymac on his Ghoul Tour of the Algarve, demonstrating how easy it is to open the 5A shutters, and the ghouls' laments about their failure to find any decaying corpses.
Also included should be dirtymac's vile mockery of the service for April Jones, and the reviews of his B & B concerning the dogsh*t round the swimming pool.
We live in hope that all that will be in every newspaper in the land and quoted on every news channel, so the rest of the world can see the sort of creature that delights in mocking missing children and tormenting their families.

The news media may run out of adjectives to describe them though.

Wannabee arsonist and poster destroyer Luz abuses the families of the little girls who were attacked while on holiday in the Algarve liars:

All those people that decided, some after nine years, to come to the media to tell their stories, are certainly able to produce copies of their complaints to the authorities. Until it happens I call them all LIES with the sole purpose of twisting public opinions.
This is typical bullshit for the anniversary campaign.
And it is sad that this Forum choses to support such campaign
She must think Scotland Yard are lying, too? In fact, she must think everyone's lying except her beloved Amaral, the convicted perjurer and brother-defrauder.
Luz and her ilk really do NOTHING for Portugal's image. Holidaymakers would be forgiven for choosing to go somewhere else, where they're treated a bit better. Like North Korea.

Thankfully, that vile post from Luz has been removed - pity she wasn't, along with it.

Yes, Bonny. She should re-think what she posts on the forums as she really is letting her country down.

but we all know that luckman uses peter macleod as his source.
Ah yes, I'd forgotten that! No wonder he so gaily spouted a pack of lies, to the delight of the McCann-haters.

Re: Met statement - now investigating five new reports of attacks on children in PDL area
Looks like Luckman was spouting bollox, as pointed out on injustice by a poster.
Paul Luckman (editor of the Portugal Times) says this on the 24th April:
Quote
Do you know I'm not in a position to say that definitely but there have been no reports on this, umm at any time,
I find this extremely strange, I've searched through all our archives, umm nothing has come to our ears or been
reported.
And yet his own paper reported this a month earlier:
Quote
He (source within the PJ) said that evidence of a string of crimes, including a sexual predator’s activities at coastal resorts popular with holidaymakers in the western Algarve, had in fact been the main driving force behind Portuguese officials deciding to re-open the case.
Another Fail for Team Gonzo.
