I've just seen Tony Bennett's post about druids and pumpkins and halloween and frankly it doesn't surprise me at all.

I wonder does the daft old bat ban Christmas trees in his house as well? They are priapic pagan symbols specifically warned against by Jeremiah.

And I wonder would he tell us who took the shorthand notes of the convo's between Satan and Jesus he says are recorded so perfectly in the bible, so that we can be sure that the words in the bible are accurate?

And could he tell us please which mountain in the area of the Middle East did Satan take Jesus up from which he could see "all the kingdoms of the world and their glory"? There isn't one so if the text is literal why did the writer lie about this little matter?

And which version of the bible are we supposed to use. The translations differ enormously. Does this daft old bat stick to the KJV and ignore all the in-depth bible study which has gone on since then?

In a word, Greenink - YES. He doesn't seem to know that Satan was invented by Christians, and that the Romans made up all that drivel about Druids to justify slaughtering them, enslaving them, and stealing their land. Propaganda wasn't invented in the 20th century.

He is grossly, indeed, pig-ignorant. Look at the sh*te he believes about the Flood legend. He ignores the fact that ethnic and religious groups all over the world have similar Flood legends, and sane, educated people believe there was indeed some kind of huge, worldwide flood around about 10,000 BCE, possibly caused by meltwater at the end of the Ice Age.

Dennis Wheatley's books were fabulous in their time, imo.  Wonderful imagination in them.
