US elections - Round Two

Hillary likes to boast that she’s the only possible candidate for women, but I know a lot of women who can’t stand her.
They think she’s hard, elitist, they don’t really trust her after Benghazi and the email scandal, and they find it hard to forgive her own repeated forgiveness of her husband’s brazen infidelity.
They also feel she has a sense of entitlement to become the first female president, and has sold her soul to Wall Street through chums like Goldman Sachs.
This explains some of the catastrophically bad results she had early on in this campaign. In the Iowa Caucus, for example, she got just 14% of the under-30 female vote, while 74-year-old Bernie Sanders romped away with 84%.
The irony of Hillary’s position is that there’s only one man in America who can possibly compete with Trump for populist appeal right now, and indeed his ability to seduce women, and that’s her husband Bill.
Unfortunately, he’s not running, she is.

DONALD J. TRUMP FOREIGN POLICY SPEECH

Well worth reading in full. I suspect a great deal of the world would breath a sigh of relief if Trump became president.

No more deranged, corrupt 'regime changing'. No more invasions based on lies. No more sabre-rattling at Russia, a nation that should be an ally, or at least a friendly rival of the West, nowadays. No more $40,000,000 petrol stations in Afghanistan, with most of the money being pocketed by corrupt politicians there and in the US.

He certainly was impressive.  Talk show people were discussing it this morning,  and one of them asked "but what about helping other countries, pesticides  etc."  No one answered.

Lily, if Bernie Sanders had made the same speech, then the Left would have been falling over themselves to acclaim him. They're only sulking because Trump said it.

However, the left do not want to build walls and keep jobs in the US etc....... otherwise, yes!

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz has hit back after former US House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner called him "Lucifer in the flesh".

The Texas senator said his fellow Republican had allowed "his inner Trump to come out".

Campaigning in Indiana, Mr Cruz said to voters: "When John Boehner calls me Lucifer, he's not directing that at me. He's directing that at you."

Mr Boehner launched the public attack while speaking to students at Stanford University in California this week.

"I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a b**** in my life," the Ohio Republican said, according to the Stanford Daily....etc.

Say what you think, now, don't hold back.

At least 20 people have been arrested after scuffles broke out between protesters and supporters of Donald Trump in California.

The violence erupted in the city of Costa Mesa, as the US presidential hopeful held a rally there on Thursday evening attended by thousands of backers.

The protests were mostly peaceful as the Republican front runner gave his speech but later they became more rowdy.

The front and back windows of a police car were smashed and its roof was dented.

One man jumped on the top of the vehicle and after he got off, a group of people tried to flip it over.

Others sprayed graffiti on the car as well as the marquee of the Pacific Amphitheatre where Mr Trump was holding his event.

Dozens of cars - including those of Trump supporters trying to leave - were stuck in the street as several hundred demonstrators blocked the road, some waving Mexican flags.

One man suffered a bloodied face in a scuffle as he tried to drive out of the arena.

Police in riot gear and on horseback pushed the crowd back and away from the venue.

Some protesters were objecting to the republican front runner's immigration proposals and the comments he has made about Mexicans during the campaign.

He has accused the southern neighbour of sending its "rapists" and criminals to the US and said if he becomes president, he plans to build a wall along the border with Mexico to keep them out....etc.

So, to prove they're not criminals, Mexican migrants, legal or otherwise, riot, attack the police, damage cars, etc.

I see. I don't think they really thought that through.

But you can guarantee that every single police officer that was attacked, every single rallygoer, their family and neighbours who get to hear about this from eye-witnesses, are now going to vote for Trump.

Clearly, the protesters aren't old enough to remember what were the consequences of the 1968 Chicago riots. Far from the rioters acheiving anything, they got Richard M. Nixon as President.]

The GOP establishment seems to be slowly starting to back Trump, and if those percentages are correct, he could just do it.....no-one else is tough enough to take Hillary down.

Some pundits actually said he will win it this morning too!  

Well.....I don't see hardcore Sanders supporters voting for Hillary. While they have a completely different take on economics, what with Sanders' Magic Money Tree, etc., Trump is actually not that far from Sanders on other matters - like no more stupid wars.

If Hillary gets to the White House, you can guarantee that the bloodshed, the meddling, the regime-changing and chaos will carry on.

For that alone, I could see a few Sanders supporters holding their noses and voting for Trump?

Or abstaining?

Can we have Round Three? Soon?

What is A Convention?

When all the Republicans or Democrats get together and decide whether they're going to listen to the public who have actually voted for candidates, or ignore the public and back some party lackey to run for President?
