I cannot comment on the provenance of that, but if it is indeed genuine, then he damned well should have been known to the authorities as a potential terrorist.

The French Prime Minister is booed and jeered before and after a minute's silence to remember victims of Thursday's truck attack.

Crowds jeered the French Prime Minister as he arrived for a minute's silence to remember victims of the attack in Nice.

Boos rang out as it emerged that confidence in the capacity of the government to combat terrorism had plummeted to an all time low.

Prime Minister Manuel Valls joined thousands packing the seafront, scene of the Bastille day carnage.

With flowers in their hands, crowds stood on the rocky beach, for a minute of silence in homage to the victims.

But there were also placards in the crowd calling for President Francois Hollande to resign.

And after the silence Mr Valls was booed again, with one woman heard to shout, "Resign, Manuel Valls!"....etc

Why say it was a lone wolf?  Here, they were talking about others early on.

The man responsible for the deaths of 84 people in Nice had help in preparing the terrorist attack, the Paris prosecutor has said.

Mohamed Bouhlel drove a 19-ton lorry into a crowd which had been watching a fireworks display on the seafront during Bastille Day celebrations.

According to the prosecutor, Bouhlel had been planning the attack for months and had accomplices.

Nice attack: City refuses police call to delete CCTV images

The local authorities in Nice have refused a request by French anti-terror police to destroy CCTV images of last week's lorry attack.
The Paris prosecutor's office said the request had been made to avoid the "uncontrolled dissemination" of images.
But officials in Nice have responded by filing a legal document, arguing the footage could constitute evidence.
It is the latest evidence of a growing dispute between the local and national authorities in the wake of the attack.


I cannot think of a single good reason for any police force to want such vital evidence destroyed - and I certainly don't believe this bollox:

The paper said police and prosecutors wanted footage of the attack destroyed to preserve the dignity of victims and so it could not be used by jihadists for propaganda purposes.

Oh, I rather think the victims' dignity was destroyed when they were massacred....and I doubt if their grieving relatives will be looking at jihadist propaganda.

That makes no sense really?

That doesn't make sense, the official version of Munich doesn't pass the sniff test, very little makes sense at present.

I guess we will just have to wait a while longer?
