Sniffer dogs failed to detect 20 kilos of explosives in a security test at the Olympic site.

A lorry carrying the potential bomb was waved through by the canine search team during a recent dummy run – although it was eventually stopped after a later manual search.

It follows earlier claims that a fake device that did not contain explosives made it through all checks.

In the latest incident, the sniffer dogs missed just over 44lbs of ammonium nitrate, a home-made fertiliser explosive used by al-Qaeda terrorists.

A source said: “The amount was enough to cause serious loss of life. It’s shocking that it was missed.”

There are around 30 sniffer dogs at the site in Stratford, East London, but they can only work for short periods before becoming distracted or bored.

Thousands of troops will be called in to assist police and private security firms to carry out searches on members of the public.

Scotland Yard confirmed that undercover exercises had been carried out to test security.

A spokesman said: “The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) has provided support to the Olympic Delivery Authority’s (ODA) assurance process that is being run at the Olympic Park.

“The ODA also runs its own security resilience tests to ensure that preparations for the London 2012 Games are as robust as possible.”

An Olympic spokesman added: “We test rigorously and regularly, to ensure that we will deliver a safe and secure Games.”

Ah but, did all 30 inspect the load?
I cannot see all 30 missing it. However, it does not excuse the fact that even one dog missed it.

How long did Grime plug away before finally eliciting a response?

I watched the dog video recently.

Am certain that they were still working when it got dark and one of the people speaking said they would have to come back the next day as it was so late. Very suggestive of long hours.

So far, so good....but look at the time the car searches resume:

That was going on at a time when both people and animals are at their lowest.

Seem to remember comments in the early days that some of the filming showed the Mccann car with posters in the windows, but other versions showed the Mccann car minus the posters, but both undergoing the search. Anyone clarify that?

Wonder how many times they ran that scenario before the (longer) version we have seen was finalised?

The posters were there at the start of filming, and removed at some later point in filming.

Tony and HB know more about the dogs than me, Sadie. Obviously, no-one thinks dogs can read - but handlers can.

I don't think for one minute that Grime prompted Eddie deliberately, but anyone who has dogs, knows how easily they pick up on their human's behaviour.

It is clear in the videos that Eddie was more interested in something half-way up the garage wall, and had to be called back to the McCanns car.

Also, Gonc states as FACT that the decomposing, defrosting remains of Madeleine McCann were carried in the trunk of the car:

Setting aside the sheer ghoulishness of that - it is totally, utterly ridiculous.

A police officer drove the car to the garage; many people had used it since - whenever Gonc thinks it was used as a hearse. I do think they would have said something, because -

There was no ' body fluid' in the car; Gonc is the Original Source of that stupid, outright lie.

I saw one of the forkers claiming somewhere that 'Madeleine's blood' was found in the car.

Well, that's good news, it means she was alive when the car was hired. Though I am surprised no-one saw her sitting in it, under the circumstances.

See, the stupid forkers don't even seem to know -

I seem to be the only one who has noticed anything, but I still wonder if the dog gulped a tiny morsel down that he found in the back of the car. I guess as no one else thought the same, I must be wrong.

It maybe was unwittingly, but Grime definitely kept calling Eddie back ... and in a firm way. We didn't see any of that sort of behaiour with the other cars.

That alone is biased. There should have been the same attention shown to other cars. Eddie would have known he was supposed to find something there. Wonder if he might have reacted to other cars with the same perseverance. Wonder how many cars there had tiny blood traces in them? Bet they nearly all did.

Something else I noticed, if you stop the video at 2.58 note that the chevrons on the car park floor are about 10 to 12 ft away from the front of the car as you look from the rear of the car they are to your left, now look where the chevrons are at 4.19, they are directly alongside the car, this means that they have been moving the car around between the video shots.

This means that in at least TWO places, the film has been CUT, making parts missing from the video and the police and Martin Grime have been moving the evidence around.

That's what you call evidence tampering!

Those videos are of no value whatsoever, except as a sales pitch.
