Good heavens above. Does that make us all righteous do you think?

Re: Get Well Soon, Anna!
It could do, Sabot. It could also mean the protesters at St. Paul's and their disgust at being asked to move somewhere else as they will have to close the cathedral. That would be awful because it is such a tourist attraction, as well as a place of prayer. Guardian supporters have likened the clergy to the temple money changers and the protesters to Christ.
What that has to do with the real bankers, I don't know.

I saw that earlier, Lily, it shoved my irritation-o-meter up to High. Hope it pours with rain in central London over the weekend and floods them out - in a non-violent and environmentally friendly fashion, of course.

Re: Get Well Soon, Anna!
I hope it comes down in rivers on them, Bonny. I can't believe how stoned out of their brains they sound.
The amusing thing is that if they eventually make a huge amount of money themselves, they will be hating the tax man with a passion.

Re: Get Well Soon, Anna!
Seems fair, Sabot.
What is even more annoying, Lily, is that if they are anything like the usual crop of whiners, most of them will have well-heeled mummies and daddies, and nice little trust funds.
Poor people can't afford to squat outside St Pauls for weeks on end, you need a private income for that sort of thing.

Brilliant, Sabot.
Excellent points, Bonny. So they are probably doing it for the fun of it and for something to tell their own kids about? Very slightly like David Gilmour's son's thing, but the sit in equivalent?
I wish they would make the lot of them clean up their mess as well. Was reading that it is rather er..... unhygienic there.

Re: Get Well Soon, Anna!
I would have thought London Council could have found some urgent repair at the Cathedral needing done while the public are not there, something involving lots of trucks revving engines, workmen shouting, swearing (in a politically-correct manner, of course) and using jackhammers, that sort of thing....

Thank you for spotting the hidden joke. French Farmers don't mess about. They'd have that pile of manure cleaned up in no time.

Fear not, Anna, we appear to have survived the End of the World too. Maybe we should start a Cult or something?

Any further news on The End of The World? Or have all of The Righteous been carted off?
Any news of Bennett? Now might be a good time for him to disappear.

Couple Wed At St Paul's Despite Protests
A wedding has gone ahead at St Paul's - despite the cathedral closing its doors for the first time since the Second World War because of protesters gathered outside.
Anti-capitalist activists are continuing the Occupy London Stock Exchange demonstration they began a week ago in front of the famous place of worship.
The Dean of St Paul's, the Rev Graeme Knowles, said a decision to shut the cathedral to the public was made with "heavy hearts".
Officials pressed on with the planned marriage of Nick Cunningham and Natasha Ighodaro, whose ceremony took place in one of the venue's chapels.
But the pair, who arrived against a backdrop of dozens of tents and a banner reading "capitalism is crisis", were prevented from walking up the church's magnificent steps.

The couple sent a message to their guests on Facebook ahead of the wedding to assure them it would go ahead.
It read: "We're looking forward to seeing friends and family at the wedding today, and are pleased that it is going ahead as planned. love Nick Cunningham and Natasha Ighodaro xxx".
A spokesman for St Paul's said: "They have gone for quite a private wedding. There are less than 100 guests, that's why it can go ahead."

Isn't it about time that lot were hosed down with disinfectant or something - in a non-confrontational, environmentally-friendly fashion, of course?

Dropped a packet from the sky.
"Dang" said the farmer wiping his eye,
"Thank the Lord me cows can't fly!!"

Britain braced for 'severe rain'
(UKPA) – 4 hours ago
The Met Office has issued severe weather warnings for parts of England and Wales, as heavy rains are predicted to hit some areas.
People are urged to "be aware" of the possibility of severe weather in several regions across Great Britain, including: Northern Ireland, Wales, West Midlands, South-West England, London and South-East England.
Areas likely to be hit the hardest by the extreme weather are Cornwall, West Devon, Pembrokeshire and Northern Ireland, according to the Met Office, which said there could also be the possibility of some flooding.
The weather service's website said: "Periods of heavy rain, accompanied at times by strong winds, will affect parts of western Britain during Monday.
"The public should be aware that quantities of rain may be sufficient in a few places to disrupt travel and give rise to localised flooding.
"In Northern Ireland the heaviest rain is expected to arrive later in the day."
Many regions are likely to see 30-60mm of rain, and in some torrential downpours could bring more than 100mm, the Met Office website said.
"Presently the most vulnerable areas look to be Cornwall, West Devon, Pembrokeshire and the whole of Northern Ireland.
"In Wales and Southwest England the heaviest rain is likely to fall during daylight hours, in Northern Ireland it is more likely to be in the evening.
"Gusts exceeding 50mph may exacerbate any problems, by leading to leaves and other minor debris blocking drains."

Re: Get Well Soon, Anna!
The whole thing is hilarious:
They have new leaders, ‘facilitators’:
“Someone has to be told what to do. Someone needs to give orders.”
Next - whoever is in charge will want extra facilities as he or she is taking more responsibility. And so it goes on
