THE NO 38 ROUTEMASTER IS BACK ON LONDON STREETS!!!!

Monday 27th February 2012
The Routemaster bus is back on the streets of London this morning, for it's first regular service in over six years.
Championed by Mayor Boris Johnson, the first of the so-called "Boris buses", complete with driver and conductor, enters service this morning on route 38 which runs between Victoria station and Hackney.
The last of the Routemasters was withdrawn from regular service in December 2005.
I'm missing London .... just a bit! I loved the Routemaster bus. LL

With a CONDUCTOR, and 3 entrance/exits. I think I probably prefer the old one from a visual point of view, but, oh the joy of jump on, jump off!!!! Well done, Boris!bb1 wrote:Ooh, a proper red bus!

I am amazed that elf 'n' safety are trusting people to get on and off buses by themselves, LL.
