Sister and brother of Kristy Bamu, 15, assaulted the young and drowned in the bathtub.
Court found them guilty of murder and may be sentenced to life imprisonment.

What was supposed to have been a holiday of Christmas in Newham, London, eventually becoming a nightmare that ended with the death of Kristy Bamu. The 15 years of Congolese origin, lived in Paris with her parents, but went to England on holiday with her sister Magalie Bamu (29 years) and the Bikubi brother Eric (28).

Along with two sisters, Kristy was tortured by Magalie and Eric Bikubi. Do not give them to eat and do not let them sleep, all because Bikubi thought that Kristy was using witchcraft against him and his wife. On Christmas day, forced the couple to get into the tub where have drowned. The body was found with 130 wounds and the couple claimed they had drowned himself.

The defense tried to use the theory of insanity, but the couple has even been charged with murder Monday and will meet the judgment, which may be life imprisonment.

Thanks, Pedro - it's a horrifying story. These two should be sentenced next week; I suspect they will get life, as the public are outraged.

The UK does sometimes hand out full life sentences, Pedro - there are a handful of prisoners who will never, ever leave jail alive. These two may be looking at 30 years inside.

Too many voodoo cases in the UK now Just one is too many but there are increasing numbers it seems.

I once counselled a youngish woman who suffered from Voodoo visions. I just didn't know how to handle the situation. No cruelty there tho. as far as I am aware

A couple convicted of torturing and drowning a teenage boy they accused of being a witch have been jailed for life.

Kristy's sister Magalie, 29, was given a minimum term of 25 years and her partner Eric Bikubi, 28, a minimum term of 30 years as they were sentenced at the Old Bailey.
Kristy, 15, died in a bath at a tower block flat in Newham, east London, on Christmas Day 2010 after days of brutal abuse.
He had travelled to London from Paris with his two brothers and two sisters to spend the holiday with Magalie.
But the couple, who were said to be obsessed with witchcraft known as kindoki in their native Democratic Republic of Congo, accused the boy of putting spells on a younger child.
Football coach Bikubi and Magalie were found guilty of murder at the Old Bailey last week.

Good - those are MINIMUM sentences, so they may well be inside till they die.

I know, Sabot - I suspect there would be far fewer demands in the UK for the return of the death penalty if more whole-life sentences for heinous crimes were handed down.

I do like the US way of sentencing killers to life + 100 years, just to be on the safe side.

I'll settle for 50 years, Bonny. I don't want the death Penalty, but I sure as hell want these people locked up for a very long time. I am sick to death of these obscene people, and who knows, it might even reduce the crime rate.
