AS thought - bennett hates Catholics. He claims his mother is Austrian, Austria is predominately a Catholic country, the other denominations being less than 15% of the population. Do you think his father was a secret Wee Free, bonny? Is there an English equivalent of the WFs? LL

His irrational hatred of Catholicism - indeed, any faith which is not some sort of evangelic offshoot of the C of E - seems to me to spring more from exclusion than anything else, LL?

It's like his obsession with masons - it's more as if it's because he didn't get to be one? As for his parentage - I would think his father was just plain, ordinary C of E, and as his mother seems to have actually come from Croatia, wouldn't she have to be a Catholic? Surely the only alternatives would be some kind of Greek Orthodox or Muslim?

She is probably Catholic as per the stats below. LL
