Interestingly, there has always been a hard core of obsessive forkers in SA, LL - you may remember Rennie and co on the Brunt blog, before Sky cleaned its act up.

Still no sign of anyone explaining who paid for Birch and his entourage to go traipsing around what is supposed to be Murat's garden.

Ah thats a brilliant find. Yes I can see the door (probably to the pumphouse) under the pool, the stairs up to the pool terrace and both of these are in the video. I think that proves that Birch was trespassing in the garden at the back of Murat's.

All the property is stepped. The villa is above the pool area, and the pool area is a good head height above the garden.

And the PJ were so inept that, despite levelling Murat's garden, and scanning the soil right down to the Roman ruins, they failed to notice a corpse, or the smell thereof, less than two feet from the surface.

The company Stephen Birch owns in South Africa was set up in 1991. It is called Birch Property Organisation. It is based in this office in Cape Town.



His company seems to have no web presence. Not even a website of their own for internal use. His email in a business directory is just a generic isp email address.

Another Birch is active in property management in the same area. Michael Birch worked at Birch Property Organisation from 1993 - 2007 but left to set up his own firm then. M Birch Property Services. He does have a web presence.

Beyond that tiny amount of information there appears to be nothing online about Stephen. How he conducts a business without a web presence these days is quite the mystery. Property management and broking I would have thought would demand web presence.

Birch claims they are his 'legal representatives'. Well, they may be, for issues like planning permission.

But I can't see anything that covers trespass in Portugal, and making up libellous cr*p.

Having seen that picture of the pool and house that you posted I am 100% convinced its Murats property.

The gate, the door and the external staircase all match.

There appears to have possibly been a kind of small gate in the back wall of the property in 2007 but that has been enlarged and on google earth looks like a proper gate leading to the new drive way in 2011.

Yes, and just you watch all the forkers frantically going into reverse gear as the implications of believing this garbage sink in.

The best I have seen so far is that this is a way for The McCanns to recover the body, presumably so they can emigrate with the remains of The Fund.
