Forker:
Presumably in his case Amaral will be able to cite the report of Chief Inspector Almeida
which will show the Mccanns seem to have some personal vendetta against Amaral otherwise why not take action against Almeida!
Yes, that's an excellent idea! Quote Arguido Almeida's discredited report! Best make sure he isn't finally on trial for torture at the time, though

Re: Met chief calls for decision on funding of Madeleine McCann review
that stupid forker is wrong, there is no personal vendetta. but, of course that antis cannot understand this, because their brains are truly insane. the reason for the trial against amaral is to prove that amaral´s unproven theories are false, also to prove that amaral made fame and fortune with his book of lies, also using despicable smears, lies, defamation, added also incompetence, corruption, all with the purpose of hollwyood celebrity style (which is what gonçalo amaral only cares: with himself), which jeopardized the search for an innocent child. that is the truth, he tried to do the same in the cipriano case, but, this time, amaral crashed and burned, he gave a step larger than his leg could handle.

Re: Met chief calls for decision on funding of Madeleine McCann review
Predictable Team Gonc spinny on the Morais blog:
http://joana-morais.blogspot.com/2012/08/english-police-willing-to-abandon.html
It's been retitled:
English police willing to abandon Madeleine McCann investigation
Really? Did anyone see that in the original story?
The piece, as rewritten by ionline, begins:
The Chief Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police has suggested that the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine is exhausted.
Really? Did anyone see that in the original story?
Still, when did that lot ever let reality stand in the way of a nice bit of McCann-hating?
PS - it was Astro who posted the propaganda story; mayhap Morais is still in hiding after the failure of the Birch Stunt.

CASH FEARS OVER MADELEINE MCCANN PROBE
Sunday August 26,2012
By James Fielding
KATE and Gerry McCann are facing the prospect of the inquiry into their daughter Madeleine’s disappearance being halted over funding, it has been reported.
The couple are being kept briefed about the future of Operation Grange, the investigative review set up by New Scotland Yard, after comments by Met Police Commissioner Bernard Hogan-Howe.
He is to ask David Cameron if he wants to continue paying for the investigation, prompting suggestions it could be wound down. Mr Hogan-Howe told a newspaper: “We are still reviewing a lot of material. It is a significant amount of money and we have quite a lot of officers tied up in this. There will be a point at which we and the Government will want to make a decision about what the likely outcome is.
“The Prime Minister agreed to fund this. We have not had any pressure to say, ‘You must stop spending more than x amount’, we have received a lot of support but by Christmas I would want a very clear view of what work is outstanding and what time line there is for that.”
Madeleine vanished from her parents’ holiday villa in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in 2007 when she was three.
The official Portuguese inquiry ended in 2008 and authorities have no plans for another.
However, at the request of Mr Cameron, the Met launched Operation Grange to investigate the little girl’s disappearance.
A total of 28 murder detectives and seven civilian staff are said to have managed to plough through about a quarter of 40,000 pieces of information, both new and old.
So far, the inquiry has cost about £2.5million and the Government has provided an open cheque.
Much of the budget has gone on sending officers to Portugal and Spain to chase leads and on translating Portuguese police files and witness statements.
Mr Hogan-Howe is expected to hear from Downing Street within months on how long funding for the probe is to continue.
In the past, he has said there would be no limit to the amount of time and manpower for the inquiry. However, his latest comments suggest, for the first time, there may be a cap.
Earlier this year, Detective Chief Inspector Andy Redwood, who is leading Operation Grange, said he believed Madeleine had been abducted and could be alive.
A spokesman for the McCanns said: “Kate and Gerry obviously hope the review will continue its work.
The question of its funding is entirely a matter for the Metropolitan Police and the Home Office.

Re: Met chief calls for decision on funding of Madeleine McCann review
This doesn't sound at all sinister or critical to me. There is bound to come a time when Scotland Yard reach the limit of what they can do. They have no power to investigate in Portugal, and cannot question anyone who refuses to be questioned.
Lots of leads that could have been important in the beginning were long ago lost, and Madeleine could be anywhere in The World now. But this has raised her profile again.
Whether or not we are told what Scotland Yard think of The Portuguese Investigation doesn't really matter.

I'd love to know just what they thought of Gonc's mess, Sabot, but sadly, I don't expect to me.
I see the haters are now in a frenzy of excitement because the Grime roadshow has got a gig in the States - no doubt yet another case on course to be fouled up because Dogs don't lie.

And the thickos are off:
Dr David Payne @DodgyDrPayne
@Chicane68 Time you did folow Bianca Jones case then. You will find it most illuminating. The FBI 100% trust those pesky dogs.*cliche alert*
------------
Dr David Payne @DodgyDrPayne
@Chicane68 No, people's interpretations have been dismissed, the case is to go ahead based on the dog alerts alone. Bad news for #McCann
============
Why would that be?
1. The wonderwoof involved is called Morse.
2. He doesn't appear to have been tested to FBI standard......
Oh, why bother? Even from reading the press report they are all ghouling over, I can see why this is going to turn into another shambles.
And if I can see it, you can bet your bottom dollar a hotshot US defender can see it, too.

Re: Met chief calls for decision on funding of Madeleine McCann review
I expect they were horrified, Bonny. But it isn't really their place to say so. And it's obvious by now that they believe Madeleine was Abducted. And since Amaral didn't believe this from Day One, it is also obvious that he cocked up The Portuguese Investigation. Although what the hell he was doing in charge in the first place, God only knows From what the lovely Sofa said, he volunteered. And I bet he did. Bugger his family's holiday.
As for Grime, Morse is described as A Victim Recovery Dog, so while I doubt that Morse is quite so manic and badly behaved as Eddie was, I don't suppose he can tell the difference between Blood and Cadaver, or decomposing Body Fluids from a live person.
This child apparently had a habit of wetting herself, mostly from fear of being beaten. And she was beaten. Even her father admitted that. But there is more Evidence to it than there ever was in The McCann Case.
But why people think that beating a child with a stick will cure a child from Wetting is beyond me. Unfortunately I have come across a lot of mindless morons who think it will.

The Bianca Jones Case IS NOT going ahead on dog alerts alone. So they haven't bothered to read the details of this case either.
And Judges aren't as daft as they look. This one, like Judge Belvin Perry Junior will want a bit more than a Dog Alert. It was The Casey Anthony Case Dog Handler who agreed in Court that Cadaver Dogs do alert to body Fluids from LIVE PEOPLE.

I've given that one its own thread, Sabot, as no doubt we will be hearing more about it:

I shall have to find The Trial Publicity, Bonny. The Anthony Case was riveting.
Personally, I don't like the sound of this man at all. Who would beat a baby for bed wetting?
But watching Grime and his latest Wonder Dog should be interesting.

Re: Met chief calls for decision on funding of Madeleine McCann review
The wonderwoof cult don't seem to have grasped that, for the first time, Grime is going to be put in the spotlight and cross-examined.
If they get all tearful about internet posters 'dissing the dogs', then they are going to be in meltdown by the time the defence team has finished with him.
And I hope a guilty man doesn't walk free because of this nonsense.

Re: Met chief calls for decision on funding of Madeleine McCann review
Oh My. Poor Martin Grime. He will have to produce Proof that his Dog never False Alerts. This of course, is virtually impossible in the absence of a body at the time. Finding that poor child's body later really won't do because they won't know who killed her, or how.
