Radical Cleric Hamza Can Be Extradited To US
Abu Hamza and four other people are likely to be put on a plane to the US within two or three weeks, it is understood.
Radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza can be extradited to the US after Europe's human rights judges rejected his request for an appeal, officials have said.
Hamza wanted to appeal a European Court of Human Rights ruling that extradition would not breach his human rights.
But his request was rejected by a panel of judges, a spokesman for the court said.
The unanimous judgment said there would be no human rights breach either as a result of likely detention in ADX Florence "supermax" prison in Colorado, or the length of possible sentences on conviction.
The decision means Hamza, who was jailed for seven years for soliciting to murder and inciting racial hatred, can now be extradited with four others, including terror suspect Babar Ahmad.
Computer expert Ahmad has been held in a UK prison without trial for eight years after being accused of raising funds for terrorism.
The request for an appeal delayed a total of five cases related to the same judgment. The other cases involve Seyla Talha Ahsan, Adel Abdul Bary and Khaled al Fawwaz.
The five are likely to be put on a plane to the US within two or three weeks, it is understood.
A Home Office spokesman said: "The Home Secretary welcomes today's decision not to refer the cases of Abu Hamza and four others to the Grand Chamber.
"This follows the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights on April 10 to allow the extradition of these five terrorism suspects to the US.
"We will work to ensure that the individuals are handed over to the US authorities as quickly as possible."
The judges said that between 1999 and 2006 the men were indicted on various terrorism charges in America.
Hamza has been charged with 11 counts of criminal conduct related to the taking of 16 hostages in Yemen in 1998, advocating violent jihad in Afghanistan in 2001 and conspiring to establish a jihad training camp in Bly, Oregon, between June 2000 and December 2001.
Bary and Al Fawwaz were indicted - with al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and 20 others - for their alleged involvement in, or support for, the bombing of US embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in 1998. Al Fawwaz faces more than 269 counts of murder.
Ahmad and Ahsan are accused of offences including providing support to terrorists and conspiracy to kill, kidnap, maim or injure persons or damage property in a foreign country.

Re: Radical Cleric Hamza Extradited To US
It would appear the whole family is a gang of violent scheiße:
Abu Hamza's son stole £70,000 of gems in armed smash and grab raid on jewellers

The son of controversial Muslim cleric Abu Hamza has been convicted after he stole £70,000 of gems in an armed smash and grab raid on jewellers.
Imran Mostafa, 20, was one of three men who raided jewellers in Kings Lynn, Norfolk armed with a firearm and a hammer as shop staff cowered behind counters.
The civil engineering student denied his part in the robbery on January 31 and possessing a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence but the jury at Norwich Crown Court convicted him of both charges.
The jury heard that three men burst into the shop and used a hammer to break display cabinets while another many stayed in a waiting van.
The men wore hooded tops to disguise their faces.
Prosecutor Ian James said: ‘Members of staff cowered behind counters as the men burst in, one with a firearm and another with a hammer, which was used to break the display cabinets before leaving with what they could.
‘One of the robbers let off some sort of smoke bomb causing confusion and stock was taken as loads of glass fragments went everywhere because of the way the robbery was conducted.’
Mr James also said that Mostafa was Hamza’s son, after the Recorder of Norwich, Judge Peter Jacobs lifted a contempt of court order.
He said: ‘His (Mostafa) parentage is as we thought. His father is Abu Hamza.’
The judge said: ‘The gentleman with the hook.’
Mr James replied: ‘Yes’.
Hamza is considered a dangerous terror suspect who is currently appealing to European judges over his extradition from the UK to America after being accused of conspiring to take Western hostages in the Yemen, funding terrorism and running a terrorist training camp in Oregon between 1998 and 2000.
Mostafa told the jury that he was teaching Arabic and the Koran at a community centre in London at the time the robbery took place.
He said he was on a gap year from university and said: ‘I am not a thief. I am not an armed robber.’
Other sons jailed for different crime: Hamza's other sons Hamza Mustafa Kamel, Mohamed Kamel Mostafa and Mohssin Ghailan were jailed in 2009 for their part in a £1million luxury car scam
Abdul, who was 16 at the time of the robbery, denied the offences but was also convicted by the jury.
He said he was subject to a bail curfew at the time and had to return to London by 10pm that day.
The judge lifted previous reporting restrictions on the youth, allowing the publication of his name of someone under 18 in ‘these exceptional circumstances’.
The judge asked for full pre-sentence reports to be prepared.
Hamza has seven children and in the past his relatives have been arrested for various offences.

Interesting:
Queen personally intervened in the case of hate preacher Abu Hamza believing 'her country and its subjects were being denigrated by this man'
The Queen contacted the Home Secretary and asked why the cleric was still a free man
She believed he must have broken the law and was 'upset' he had not been arrested
Hamza's appeal against extradition has failed - ending an eight-year legal saga costing UK taxpayers £1m
Judges in Strasbourg threw out his bid to reopen the case yesterday

The Queen directly intervened in the case of radical cleric Abu Hamza and asked the Home Secretary why he had not been arrested for his campaign of hate and violence in Britain.
She was so 'upset' by the content of his hate sermons, she contacted the Home Secretary to ask 'why is he he still at large?'
The Monarch's intervention was revealed today as the hook-handed criminal lost his final appeal against extradition to the United States.
According to the BBC's veteran security correspondent Frank Gardiner, the Queen 'was upset that her country and its subjects were being denigrated by this man who was using this country as a platform for his very violent, hateful views’.

If that is correct - well done, Queen.

The Mail has an artist's impression of him in a US court today...
Oh dear, the Great Satan has confiscated his hook....
Radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza has appeared at a court in New York today - just hours after arriving in the U.S. following his extradition late last night.
The hate preacher did not enter a plea during the brief hearing and was remanded in custody ahead of his next appearance on Tuesday.
The former imam at the Finsbury Park mosque in north London without the hook he usually wears in place of his missing right hand, and complained through lawyers that he wanted it back.

Oh Dear. This is so sad. I really feel for him. You all know me. I always feel sad for any arsehole. It's the bane of my life. Have a good day. Some how. Or not. But I will be thinking about you.

Oh dear.....
According to the New York Post US taxpayers are outraged at the prospect of having to pay between £10,000 and £35,000 for a pair of prosthetic arms for Hamza.
Were he to claim his human rights were being infringed, prison staff would be forced to get him a non-threatening pair of rubber hands on cables - but he won’t get his hooks back.
A source added that with no hooks Hamza was almost certainly eating through a straw in jail because ‘the correction officers aren’t going to be feeding him, that’s for sure’.

Now US taxpayers know how UK taxpayers have felt for years - thankfully, prison officials there are showing no signs of being such soft touches as the Brits were.

I have another question, but I don't think it would be polite to ask.
And why didn't he get proper hands before? Unless he didn't want to.
The only good thing of course, is that he blew off his own hands.

One hears rumours that that is just the cover story, Sabot - that he actually fell foul of Shariah law himself. Who knows?
But no, he didn't have to go around with those ridiculous hooks, like a pantomime villian, he could have had 'hands' courtesy of the NHS long ago...
Surprising he forgot to scrounge that along with everything else.

Well, The Americans were never going to turn him loose in prisons with those hooks, and I must say that I'm surprised they did in Britain. Those are dangerous weapons.
Oh, by the way, his wife has been told to leave the council house mansion she currently occupies, where her rent is paid by The State. But she can appeal.

Oh no, she'll drag this out for another ten years. Can't we send the whole tribe to the US, on compassionate grounds so they can be near Hooky?

Re: Radical Cleric Hamza Extradited To US
Problem there, at least 4 of his sons are in prison so you would have lots of problems getting them freed and whereas the USA wanted him they sure as hell don't want his offspring or his wife - does he have more than one, do you think?
