Gerry and Kate - you have made it very difficult to believe your account of events, and I have tried very hard to believe it. However, the more I looked into the evidence of the case, the less I believed. It's a disease, a virus that infests them and makes them want to outdo each other in nastiness. If a dog, cat or fox go rabid, you deal with it. As humans we are not allowed to put other humans out of their misery .... LL

They are vicious, ignorant people, whose irrational hatred of the WHOLE McCann family is all they have to justify their existence? And they needn't bother pretending they don't hate Madeleine McCann as much as they do her parents - no-one's forgotten that one using the 'F' word to describe Madeleine.

What did they do before they had the McCanns to hate? Send poison pen letters to their neighbours? Nothing of any use to society, that's for sure.

Just so that the ignorant haters don't get the wrong idea, this is what is happening at the Marathon.

Runners and spectators at the London Marathon will be asked to hold a 30-second silence in tribute to the victims of the Boston bombing attacks.

Organisers said the event will go ahead as planned despite heightened security fears following yesterday's explosions in the U.S. which claimed three lives and injured more than 140 others.

Palace sources also confirmed that Prince Harry has no plans to cancel his long-standing commitment to a public appearance at Sunday's race.

And as a show of solidarity to all those affected in Boston, runners are being encouraged to wear black ribbons while taking part.
