Forkers frothing about Star report on Yard review
Yes, folks, all the 8rs have had to occupy themselves with on this fine Easter Sunday is getting into a rage about this:

SCOTLAND YARD SQUAD HUNTING MADELEINE MCCANN COSTS £6,228 A DAY
31st March 2013 By Jonathan Corke
THE British police hunt for Madeleine McCann has cost at least £3.8million.
Scotland Yard has been investigating Madeleine’s 2007 disappearance in Portugal since May 2011.
And figures obtained by the Daily Star Sunday show the probe is costing around £6,228 a day.
The vast majority is being spent on wages, with 38 staff currently working on the inquiry, which is called Operation Grange.
As we have previously revealed, Detective Chief Superintendent Hamish Campbell, who led the Jill Dando murder inquiry, is overseeing the probe.
He has 28 detectives working for him, along with three of the UK’s top cold case specialists from the Metropolitan Police’s Murder Review Group.
There are also six members of police support staff involved.
The figures we have obtained suggest the cost of the investigation, which the Met describes as an “investigative review”, is rising.
For 2011/12 the cost, which is being met by the Home Office, was £1,929,354.
The figure for 2012/13 is £1,869,933 but this does not include January to March of this year. And based on daily costs over the past few months, the total bill is now likely to be well in excess of £4million.
The Met is recovering the cost, which includes thousands spent on flights to Portugal, from Home Secretary Theresa May’s department on a quarterly basis.
With the backing of Prime Minister David Cameron, she has asked the force to carry on the probe.
Madeleine, of Rothley, Leics, was just three when she vanished from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz.
Earlier this month it emerged the police in Cyprus had alerted Interpol after a Briton claimed to have seen a girl who looked like Madeleine in the holiday resort of Ayia Napa.
But there has yet to be any positive news regarding the sighting.
Madeleine’s parents Kate, 45, and Gerry McCann, 44, remain hopeful their daughter can be found.
After the Portuguese police shelved their probe, the couple had to rely on private investigators in the hope of a breakthrough.
But following high-level diplomatic talks with the Portuguese authorities, in 2011 the Metropolitan Police agreed to review the case.
And the force has told us it still has a large team involved.
In responding to a Freedom of Information request, the Met said: “A major investigation team is assigned to Operation Grange.
“This is made up of one detective chief inspector, three detective inspectors, five detective sergeants, 19 detective constables, six police support staff.
“The MIT is assisted by three murder review group officers.
“Staff numbers are open to change depending on the needs of the review.
“The MIT also continues to work on its existing outstanding homicide cases.”
It also confirmed that Detective Chief Inspector Andy Redwood is the senior investigating officer and that he is “supervised” by Detective Chief Superintendent Campbell “who has oversight of this investigation”.

Re: Forkers frothing about Star report on Yard review
^^^^^ has led to asinine remarks like:
But maybe the McCanns, who are being kept well out of the loop, think that it's time the review was brought to an end before the boys in blue latch on to something that no miscreant could wriggle out of.
And the way to achieve this is to play on people's notions of waste compared with the state of their own moth-ridden wallets. Nice try, but ...
1. They are clearly forgetting that it was the McCanns who begged the Yard to step in in the first place.
2. Of course the McCanns are 'in the loop' - why wouldn't they be? It was their daughter who was abducted.
3. They really should stop listening to carp from the Incredible Shrinking Gonc - he didn't get that criminal conviction for lying for nothing.

Re: Forkers frothing about Star report on Yard review
To put it in perspective, Tony, what has been spent so far is barely a small lottery jackpot.
Far more than this has been spent on -trying to get jihadists deported; failing to get jidhadists deported and ending up footing the bill for protecting their Yuman Rites; housing the numerous wives and children of jihadists as is their Yuman Rite..... the list of things Westminster has chucked away money on is endless.
The cost of the review is chickenfeed in comparison, and far more worthwhile - there is still a chance there can be a happy ending, remember.
Anyway, I would be amazed if many of the whinging forkers were even taxpayers.

What irritates the hell out of me, not one of them donated to the fund yet they scream for an investigation into it. It has nothing to do with them.

They're only moaning because the Yard have said that they aren't interested in stupid conspiracy theories, and that Madeleine was abducted, Tony.
That doesn't suit their twisted worldview at all.

Re: Forkers frothing about Star report on Yard review
If Gonc had done his job properly in the first place, there would have been no need for the review.
Lets not forget, who it was that , DIDN'T (for some odd reason) want the uk police involved, or anyone else, when the help was offered, within days of Madeleine's abduction. Because of the secrecy laws, that only seem to apply to the McCann's.
IMO, this was deliberate. Why? because they might have found something out, that Gonc didn't want finding out.
Can you imagine what SY would have thought, of a crooked cop, made an arguido the morning after the abduction, being head of the case.
No wonder he looks ill, seems like he's getting his payback, from someone above.
ETA, to add.
Looks like he's sold his earring and started dying his hair black

That would be the same person who wasted police manpower, time and money - not to mention insulting the targeted officers - by having the UK police followed in Portugal?
We insist on knowing what our English counterparts have come to Portugal to do. I assign one of my investigators to follow the English superintendent like a shadow and to keep me informed about his actions. I want to be informed of everything he learns, the names of the people he meets and the places he goes to.
Pity he hadn't devoted as much time to trying to find Madeleine McCann as he did to stalking British police officers.
He really does sound worried they would find something out, doesn't he? No wonder he told outright lies about family liason officers, what Stuart Prior said, and so much else.

Re: Forkers frothing about Star report on Yard review
There is another side to this because it will certainly deter another would be Abductor from stealing any other British Children while on holiday on The Continent. Madeleine was all too easily taken, and then lost track of, albeit mainly due to incompetence. France would not have tolerated this as they are very quickly off the mark when children go missing.
This review is sending out a warning, although I think they should have done it sooner.

Tony, of course it would. However, when they write letters and comment after article in the press, they pretend that they did.
I agree 100% with the fact that IF Gonc had done his job correctly, Madeleine might have been found and returned to her family.
However, I also am of the opinion that Gonc knew something and he was afraid of it coming out.
He is a loathsome creature as a monumental dishonest cop.

Lily, no incompetent cop, could cock a case up, in such style, without trying.

JillyCL @JillyCL 7m
@xxxxxFernxxxxx How many times are u going to repeat that lie? #McCann s wanted a Crimewatch style reconstruction. PT law does NOT allow it
They really will say anything to defend their idol, won't they?
Not one of them has managed to explain why Gonc REALLY refused to do a reconstruction in May 2007, when it might have helped to find Madeleine McCann.
Ridiculous excuses about having to close the area to overflying aircraft don't really cut it.....

IMO, a cult is just about exactly what they are, Sabot, with their unreasoning adoration of Gonc, their unquestioning belief in the Wonderwoofs - those two things are fundamental to their entire belief system.
I don't think ANYTHING is ever going to bring the Troofseekers to their senses. They are doomed to spend the rest of their days like this, repeating rubbish about dogs, worshipping Big Rock, and inventing ever-wilder conspiracy theories to avoid facing reality.

Do you think they have been brain washed, Bonny? Although I'm not sure how or when this could have happened as most of them don't appear to have anything resembling a brain as we know it.
They parrot the same old things over and over again when it is quite obvious that normal people don't believe a word of it.

They've brainwashed themselves, Sabot - which wouldn't take up too much time. It's noticeable that they've got worse since so many of them got involved with Icke's lot - and if you want to see lunatics, that's the place to go.
People like them will believe ANYTHING if it gives them an excuse for their own failures and inadequacies, they are strangers to reality, reason and rationality.

I hope the low-lives don't wreck it, it's an interesting site - though I suspect it can be a nightmare to keep in order, given the contentious subjects they cover.
