Two policemen arrested for alleged involvement in violation in Pakistan

Two police officers were arrested for alleged involvement in gang rape suffered by a young Hindu village in the far south of Pakistan, said on Monday, a police source told Efe.

The 22 year old has not submitted a formal complaint against their attackers, although the authorities have advised to do so in order to initiate investigations against the agents, said an official of the police district Tharparkar, Zahir Ahmed.

According to local channel Geo, rape was consummated on Sunday at the residence of the young by two policemen and two other neighboring of the village of Aaadhi, which had not yet been arrested.

The first reaction in the local police station was to dismiss the charges of the relatives of the young and expel them from police premises, so rape victim had to resort to the district chief to make a complaint verbally.
