Re: DAVE MAHON CHARGED WITH MURDERING DEAN FITZPATRICK, BROTHER OF MISSING AMY
I simply cannot imagine how Amy and Dean's real family feel when they see images like this, Lily-
If she can stand around in the sunshine with the thug who's ADMITTED killing her son as if neither of them have a care in the world, she's capable of anything, IMO.
I am trying not to fall into the trap of speculating, but I see jail cells ahead for both of them.
If she can behave like this after he admits to killing her son, then she is, IMO, perfectly capable of actively covering up the truth about what happened to Amy.

Bonny, that photograph is a disgrace. No one has to be a body language expert to see what this says.

They obviously do not give a toss. Illness, or near death, I would be at my kids funerals (heaven forbid I have to attend one). And if I knew anyone had hurt them, I would do time for it, it's what good parents do, protect their kids or get at those that hurt them....NOT PROTECT THEM

OMG.

Amy hunt called off
Mum Audrey a no-show at son's funeral
AUDREY Fitzpatrick and Dave Mahon have given up on the hunt for missing daughter Amy on the day her brother was buried.
Frail mum Audrey was unable to attend her son’s funeral yesterday after she suffered a panic attack. However she managed to leave the north Dublin apartment she shares with partner Dave Mahon later yesterday afternoon.
She spent last night being comforted at a friend’s house.
A close relative of Mahon told the Irish Sun: “Dave was talking about the search the day before the funeral but after Audrey failed to attend the service he decided to end it.
“It’s all been too much for them but Dave is getting to a stage now where he has to think of himself because of the ongoing investigation and of what people might be saying about him.
“We don’t know the answers to any of this or why Dean was killed but it should all come out in any court case.”
Mahon has been at the forefront of the search for Amy who disappeared in Spain in January 2008.
Collection boxes for ‘Missing Amy’ were placed in supermarkets across north Dublin in recent weeks and a special fundraising event for the teen was also held at Parnell’s GAA Club in Coolock just a fortnight ago.
It is believed Audrey’s health problems led to the decision to call off the search.
The five-year campaign has taken Mahon and Audrey all across Europe and to north Africa. As part of their investigation, they appeared on national TV in a bid to locate the schoolgirl.
A source said last night: “This is a very unusual move because Dave Mahon was at the heart of the campaign.
“He’s fought long and hard for Amy but has now decided enough is enough.”
Meanwhile, Amy’s aunt Christine Kenny has vowed to continue the search for her niece.
==================
It’s all been too much for them but Dave is getting to a stage now where he has to think of himself because of the ongoing investigation and of what people might be saying about him.
Oh, Heaven forbid Good Old Dave should think about anyone but himself. And why are they still collecting money - Aud's been going around saying Amy is dead?
Ah well, no point speculating - doubtless it is all going to come out in court.

Look at the pair of them, muratfan - you'd think they were going off on holiday, not that he'd just stabbed her last remaining child to death.
I cannot imagine how Amy and Dean's father feels looking at those two.

That wouldn't surprise me at all, muratfan. Neither of them seem to be the kind to stay around and face the music. And if it comes out in the future that she's been covering for him all along over Amy, there is liable to be a lynch mob out for them in Ireland.

Dave is getting to a stage now where he has to think of himself because of the ongoing investigation and of what people might be saying about him.
For sheer, selfish, callous contempt for others, that really does take some beating. And there's no 'might' about what's being said about him on various media sites allowing comments.

Grieving Audrey out with Dave hours after being too ill to go to Dean’s funeral
Audrey Fitzpatrick and Dave Mahon outside their apartment
DEVASTATED Audrey Fitzpatrick is pictured here with the man who has admitted killing her son — just hours after she was too unwell to attend slain Dean’s funeral.
Looking grief-stricken and having clearly lost weight, Audrey (45) was photographed with her partner Dave Mahon outside the couple’s north Dublin apartment — the spot where Dean died after being stabbed 11 days ago.
The photograph was taken just before 4.30pm as the couple waited outside their apartment in the Burnell Square complex at Northern Cross, close to Dublin Airport.
But earlier at 10am, a priest told mourners at Dean’s funeral in Donaghmede — around a mile away — that Audrey was too ill to attend.
And speaking to The Star just hours after the funeral, Mr Mahon — who has admitted fatally stabbing Dean (23), but insists it was an accident — says Audrey simply couldn’t face attending the Mass.
“She is in a terrible way,” he said last night. “The doctor came and had to give her something. She was awake for a while but is asleep now.”
He added: “She just could not face going [to the funeral]. She told me that she did not want to see his coffin being lowered into a hole in the ground.
“She said she got to say her goodbyes to him at the removal last night (Monday).”
Mr Mahon (42) — who was arrested and questioned after he presented himself to gardai following the stabbing at the apartment on May 25 — was also absent from the funeral.
Mr Mahon, who was released without charge following his arrest, is now waiting on gardai to send a file on the case to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
That office will then look at the evidence and decide what charges, if any, should be laid against Mr Mahon.
Sources say this process could take anything from a week to six months.
In the meantime, Mr Mahon is living at the apartment where Dean died with Audrey, who is the mother of missing Irish teen Amy Fitzpatrick.
Amy was just 15 when she vanished in Spain’s Costa del Sol in January 2008.
Although Audrey did not attend the funeral, other mem-bers of her family were there, including her brother Paul.
Dean’s partner Sarah O’Rourke — along with their two-year-old son Leon — were also at the packed Church of the Holy Trinity in Donaghmede for the service.
The victim’s dad Christopher, his visibly upset young brother Alex, his aunt Christine and other family members were also present, along with several hundred other mourners.
Parish priest Fr Eoin McCrystal told mourners that Dean’s death had devastated so many people.
He said: “He was a young man with so much of life ahead of him. Speaking with his loved ones, they have told me of the fact that Dean was a proud father of Leon and doted on him.
“It is only natural that there are so many broken hearts in this church this morning.”
Several of the mourners broke down in tears during the service — including when poignant reminders of Dean’s life were brought to the altar.
These included a miniature bike for his love of cycling, a baseball cap to mark his fashion sense, and earphones for his love of music.
Dean was later laid to rest at Fingal Cemetery. His funeral had been delayed following a dispute between his parents over where to bury him.

Press doesn't seem to think too much of them. I reckon muratfan's right - those two sociopaths are going to do a runner.

Re: DAVE MAHON CHARGED WITH MURDERING DEAN FITZPATRICK, BROTHER OF MISSING AMY
Hmmm, straight into the arms of the Ulster police? That won't help them much, nowhere in Europe is any good, really.
Spain's most definitely out - I suspect the Guardia Civil are wanting a word with them.
Dunno, I can't even begin to guess what will happen next, Sabot. The Irish media, Olive Press, etc., must be in ecstasies. I cannot ever remember events unfolding like this in a missing child case; the stepfather killing the missing child's brother is a new low in the annals of crime.

I’ll never give up the hunt for Amy
‘Still hope’
THE grieving dad of stab victim Dean Fitzpatrick and missing teen Amy vowed yesterday: I’ll never stop looking for my girl.
Distraught Christopher also told how he could never forgive Dave Mahon — the partner of his ex-wife Audrey — for killing his son.
Mahon, 42, has admitted fatally stabbing Dean on May 26 — but claims he was acting in self defence.
And after Mahon revealed earlier this week that he was giving up his search for Amy, Christopher said he would continue looking for his daughter who disappeared over five years ago at the age of 15.
In an exclusive interview with the Irish Sun, the dad said: “Mahon may have halted his campaign for Amy but we won’t give up.
“I will never forgive that man for what he did and I’m not interested in him saying sorry. Nothing can bring Dean back now. That cruel action has destroyed so many lives and we will never get over the loss of my special son.
“I went to the graveyard yesterday again because I just wanted to be with Dean. His friends were present and they have given us great support.”
Schoolgirl Amy disappeared from the Costa del Sol in Spain in January 2008.
Despite a high-profile campaign to find her, there has been no trace. But her dad confirmed a private investigator is still working on the case.

That seems to be his style, though, to control everything? Just like Aud'n'Dave trying to hi-jack the funeral, and not inviting Dean's real father.
In every single photo of Dave, he seems to be strutting around with his chest puffed out and glowering like some extra from a gangland movie.
