Re: DAVE MAHON CHARGED WITH MURDERING DEAN FITZPATRICK, BROTHER OF MISSING AMY
Well now we know there was almost certainly a fiddle with the phone, things are not looking good for Amy. And I feel sad about that because I did so hope. Although I haven't completely given up.
But if this is all correct then Audrey must have known something. I shall now try not to get too angry.

You wouldn't believe this horror story if it was in a movie, would you? IMO, Amy's phone made it home = Amy did too.

Re: DAVE MAHON CHARGED WITH MURDERING DEAN FITZPATRICK, BROTHER OF MISSING AMY
Wonder how long it will take Ambersuz, and the other pathetic mob to realise that they backed the wrong horse again.
Seems to me that they think the Fitzpatrick case is the yard stick of how the McCanns should be, however if you look at the cases you see that both have tried to keep their child in the media, both have raised money to keep looking for their child.
However the baying mob on MM, seem to think it is okay for the Fitzpatrick's to raise the money, to do fundraising, to court the media. Yet they slate the McCanns for doing the same.
Facts are these, the people who seem more guilty of having a hand in their daughters disappearance is Amy's mother and step father.
1....HOW DID AMY'S PHONE TURN UP FIVE MONTHS LATER IN HER MOTHERS HAND??
2... WHY DID IT TAKE 3 DAYS FOR THEM TO CALL THE POLICE
There is much more glaring evidence in the Fitzpatrick case that leans towards those are guilty

And Amy really was grossly neglected. I would be ashamed if I had been her mother.
So how did MM manage to ignore this, and then screech abuse at The McCanns?

Well, in my opinion, it was jealousy, pure and simple. The McCanns got help from the British Government because the British Consul knew how bad the Policing is in Portugal, how they fit people up, and how suspects fall down stairs.....several times.
Spain for all its faults, do have a much better Police Service, and do have better human rights.

I see pretendypete is trolling away in the Olive Press comments, trying to drag the McCanns into a mess which has NOTHING to do with them.
Ignoring the small detail that a great many people backed away from Aud'n'Dave when their hinky meters started going off.
But hey, when did he ever let the truth stop him smearing the McCanns, and others?

Re: DAVE MAHON CHARGED WITH MURDERING DEAN FITZPATRICK, BROTHER OF MISSING AMY
http://www.thestar.ie/star/dean-fitzpatricks-partner-gives-statement-to-gardai/
Dean Fitzpatrick’s partner gives statement to gardai
THE heartbroken partner of Dean Fitzpatrick said she “won’t give up” seeking justice — after spending five hours giving a detailed statement to gardai yesterday.
Sarah O’Rourke (28) said after emerging from Coolock Garda Station: “We won’t give up the fight for justice for Dean. We want to let the
gardai do their work now.”
Sarah also said she did it for Dean (23) and their one-year-old baby boy Leon.
Sarah declined to reveal the details of her statement — but it is believed she spoke about a threatening phone call she received shortly before Dean was killed on May 25 at an apartment in Burnell Square in North Dublin.
Dean’s mother Audrey’s partner Dave Mahon (42) — who had been living at that apartment — has admitted to the stabbing but claims it was an accident.
After giving the statement, Sarah O’Rourke went to the Jennings Funeral Home on the Oscar Traynor Road for post funeral arrangements.
She also made a fresh appeal for anyone with information about the death of Dean to come forward.
“If anyone has any information, please come forward,” she said.
She admitted that it was “tough” giving the statement — but praised the gardai.
“They were very kind and understanding,” she said.

Perhaps some of the good people of Calahonda / Riviera would like to come forward now …. you know the ones , the scared ones who were terrified to speak for fear of repercussions
Are we to assume that the 'repercussion' won't be leaving Ireland in the near future? Indeed, possibly for some years?

http://www.thestar.ie/star/amys-furious-notes-about-dave-are-not-from-my-little-girls-diary/
‘Amy’s furious notes about Dave are not from my little girl’s diary’
DISTRAUGHT mum Audrey Fitzpatrick last night rubbished reports that claimed her missing daughter Amy hated her stepdad and regularly argued with him.
Extracts from what were described as Amy’s diaries emerged yesterday, suggesting Amy had a deep dislike for her mum’s partner, Dave Mahon (42).
In one extract, dated January 19, 2006, Amy (15) said: “Dave is being a d**k as normal, accusing me of taking money. WTF wud I do dat. He has no f***ing rite 2 say I tuk it da stupid, bald, ugly, WNKER!”
However, Audrey (45) denied this was taken from Amy’s diaries.
She said: “Those extracts are not from Amy’s diaries as her diaries went directly to the Spanish police after she went missing and they eventually gave them back to me.
“These are notes which Amy and [her brother] Dean used to write to each other and when Dean saw them before he laughed them off. They are not from Amy’s diary.”
Mr Mahon admitted stabbing 23-year-old Dean last month but insisted it was an accident.

Pardon me for not believing a word Aud says about anything.

Notes Amy wrote,or extracts from her diary? What difference does it make? That's what she wrote. And now of course, who knows what Dean said?

It's nothing in comparison to what the supposedly-adult Amaral Fan Club posts on #mccann......
I'd say it's pretty normal, given the atmosphere she was stuck in.
Mahon doesn't look the kind to mind his language around anyone.

Chilling Amy letter warned she would 'disappear' three years before she vanished
16 Jun 2013 12:56
Mother of missing teen's friend warned the Irish Embassy in Spain that Amy was 'scared for her safety'
A shocking letter predicting Amy Fitzpatrick would go missing was sent to authorities before she disappeared, the Irish Sunday Mirror can reveal.
The message appealing for help was sent in 2005, nearly three years before the 15-year-old vanished from her home in Spain.
The letter, written by the mum of Amy’s pal, was sent to the Irish embassy in Madrid and claims she wanted to move back to Ireland.
It reads: “It is probable she will disappear. Amie [sic] is scared for her safety.”
The letter detailed how unhappy the 15-year-old schoolgirl was living in Spain.
The letter, seen by the Irish Sunday Mirror has emerged as Amy’s family are reeling from the tragedy of her brother Dean’s killing at the hands of his
mother’s boyfriend, Dave Mahon, three weeks ago.
In the hand-written missive sent to the Irish Embassy in Madrid, a woman whose daughter went to school with Amy on the Costa del Sol, raised serious concerns about her welfare.
The woman, who is known to have housed Amy on at least one occasion, claimed the teen was distressed.
She wrote: “It is probable that she will disappear”, before adding: “Amie [sic] is scared for her own safety. We need something in writing. We have pleaded with the Embassy.”
It is understood, however, when Amy’s mum alerted Spanish police over her disappearance she told the officers Amy was under no physical threat from anyone in the country.
In the letter, the friend’s mum asked for the authorities in Ireland to investigate the claims and said she was in regular contact with embassy staff. She also claimed Amy told her she wanted to live in Ireland.
Amy moved to Spain in 2004 and went to live with her mother Audrey Fitzpatrick, her mum’s partner Dave Mahon and her brother Dean. Her father
Christopher stayed in Ireland.
The message reads: “She [Amy] wants to live with her father.”
Last night, Amy’s dad and her aunt Christine Kenny vowed to find the truth about the teenager’s disappearance.
Christine said they hoped detectives and gardai would look into the allegations.
She told the Irish Sunday Mirror: “Christopher is aware of it and he wants to get to the end of this. He wants to find his daughter.
“I’m not giving up either. I’m quite determined to find her.”
Christine has been in touch with Irish authorities about sending gardai to Spain to help the ongoing investigation.
However, she described the pursuit as “facing a brick wall”.
She revealed: “I contacted Alan Shatter and other members of the Government to raise this issue with him.
“His secretary told me to email him if I wanted to meet with him. I just feel as if this is a losing battle but I can’t give up. I won’t.”
Police statements also confirm Amy’s mother Audrey knew about the letter and claims at the time of Amy’s disappearance.
However, Audrey was unavailable for comment last night.
A source close to her and her partner Dave said last night: “They have been finding support in each other.
“They are trying to keep out of the limelight since Dean’s death three weeks ago.”
Dave, 43, has admitted he stabbed the 23-year-old on Saturday, May 25.
The convicted drink driver has claimed he acted in self-defence when he stabbed Dean outside the apartment block he was living in.
Audrey, 45, did not attend her son’s funeral the following week as she felt too ill from the loss.
Amy, 15, was last seen on January 1, 2008 around 10pm.
Her best friend Ashley Rose waved her goodbye after spending time together.
Amy headed in the direction of her mother’s home in Mijas Costa but she vanished.
Hundreds of officers were involved in the search over the following weeks but there have been no breakthroughs in the case.
A security source said last night: “Now is the time for people to speak up. Those who were afraid to come forward at the time of Amy’s disappearance will be treated with understanding.”

Re: DAVE MAHON CHARGED WITH MURDERING DEAN FITZPATRICK, BROTHER OF MISSING AMY
http://www.thestar.ie/star/i-went-for-a-pint-after-i-killed-dean/
I went for a pint after I killed Dean
Dave Mahon went to a pub for a pint just minutes after he fatally stabbed his partner’s son, he revealed yesterday.
Speaking exclusively to The Star, Mr Mahon said he went to the pub with a pal following the incident on May 25 — because he had no idea Dean Fitzpatrick (23) had been seriously injured.
Moments earlier, Dean suffered a single stab wound to the abdomen after a confrontation with Mr Mahon (42) outside the north Dublin apartment Mahon shares with the victim’s mother Audrey.
And he also revealed that he left the apartment complex by a side door following the incident — and had no idea that dad-of-one Dean was lying outside the complex, fatally injured.
“I had no idea he was so badly hurt,” Mr Mahon told The Star yesterday.
“Immediately afterwards, I went out a side door of the complex and didn’t see anything.
“I would have been the first person to call an ambulance if I knew how serious the situation was.”
Mr Mahon left the Burnell Square complex at Clarehall on the Malahide Road and got into a friend’s car.
The pair then drove to a pub in Balrothery in north Co Dublin, where they had a pint.
“I had no idea what had happened,” he said.
“I went to Balrothery for a pint and did not have a clue about how bad Dean was.”
While he was in the pub, medics were desperately battling to save Dean’s life, but he died just before midnight, around an hour after the incident.
Mr Mahon then went to his father Mick’s house in nearby Santry.
His pensioner dad woke him the following morning to break the news to him that Dean — the brother of Amy Fitzpatrick, who went missing in Spain in 2008 aged 15 — had passed away.
Mr Mahon then went to a friend’s house before handing himself in to Coolock Garda Station.
He was later arrested and held for 24 hours, before being released without charge.
Gardai are now finalising a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions, who will decide Mr Mahon’s fate.
Mr Mahon has repeatedly said Dean’s death was an accident.
He said that he had disarmed Dean, who had a knife in his hand.
He claimed that while he was holding the knife, Dean rushed at him and was injured in the abdomen.
Dean’s mother Audrey (45) has told The Star that she believes the death was accidental — and that she forgives Mr Mahon.
Mr Mahon will now have to wait for a decision from the DPP’s office — which could take a year.

Fancy Dean just impaling himself on the knife Dave just happened to be holding! Though I can quite believe he went for a pint.....

Re: DAVE MAHON CHARGED WITH MURDERING DEAN FITZPATRICK, BROTHER OF MISSING AMY
If I recall correctly, Dean went to the flat at Dave's invitation, so why did Dean have a knife? Did he feel the need to protect himself? Did it happen inside the flat and if so, how did Dave not see the blood? Or did it happen outside? I don't think it can have done because according to Dave, he left by another door.
So, Dean has a knife, Dave takes it away from him and Dean impales himself. Blood, obviously. Dean then rushes away. Dave toddles off by a different door and goes for a pint with a friend. ORLY.

His story doesn't make a lot of sense, does it, Lily. Dean obviously didn't go there to attack him because he was invited.
Although I doubt we are going to hear the true story, which is probably why it happened.

Judging by some of the newspaper comments, if they are to be believed, people have been advised that they no longer need to keep quiet because of fear. So one has to wonder who they might have been afraid of.
Erm, Dave? Audrey? Dave? And then there's always Dave.
