Sorry, that was all a bit beyond me I'm afraid, and when I got a bit more interested than just plain vaguely interested. You know, how stupid did he think I was? And I am thinking, "Excuse me, what sort of idiot do you think I am?"
But then I believe that he saw this as his get out jail card with Leonor Cipriano. Nothing more sinister than that. Just an incredible arsehole with some sort of hatred against women in general. A man who was going no where in his career. It was already over for him. Because he was a lying shit bag. And The PJ knew this.

Sorry, I don't always explain myself very well. This was a very stupid man who would pull any trick to obtain a conviction. But in the end you do have to wonder about The Judges. I can hardly bear of what they did to Leonor Cipriano.

It's something so obvious, Sabot, when you see it....it explains all Gonc's sh#te about the non-existent 'wheelwell' and the non-existent 'alerts' in it by Eddie.

As we know, that simply didn't happen, not least because Grand Scenics don't have wheelwells...

Try this. Gonc saw the video of Keela woofing in the rear of the car and because he didn't bother to find out which spaniel was which, assumed it was Eddie.

And all his smears, libels and vendettas have sprung from that very basic error.

Kate and Gerry McCann face more agony next week when their libel action against a former police chief comes to court in Lisbon.

Erm,   The McCanns accepted Amaral's offer? Well, I do hope so.
But then to me it was always about Amaral losing face. So perhaps he refused to apologise. That alone would be enough for The Case to proceed.

It will be interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks, Sabot.

So what are we going to do if Amaral wins his case on some obscure Portuguese legal technicality that the rest of Europe does not subscribe to?
We won't all suddenly believe that Madeleine is dead. And the case will never be decided on that. Only on the dubious right of some grubby little arsehole to say what he likes.
It won't affect me or The McCanns.

Team Gonc won't be able to pull any stunts this time, Sabot, like that hole-in-corner decision overturning the book ban that the McCanns' people didn't even know was being heard.

Gonc and co won't get away with that this time.

I actually don't care anymore, Bonny. No one can now say that Madeleine is dead, if they ever could have done. Scotland Yard do believe that she might not be. So what do these people think they can do? More to the point, why do they want Madeleine dead when they know nothing about her or her parents.
In all my life I have never come across anything quite so sick.
But the fact remains that no Libel Trial on this Planet can decide if Madeleine is dead or not. That is the whole point as far as I can see.

Would he want anything to do with his failed investigation coming out in court and thus the media for all to see? That would be humiliating, wouldn't it? Even more so than what he has had in the past?

These fools are still deluding themselves that Gonc is some kind of hero in Portugal, Lily. They just don't want to know the truth about their idol, and the sheer hassle he has caused Portugal.

Good God, he's done everything from tax-dodging, via ripping off his own brother, to screwing up a very high-profile abduction, making the PJ look like blundering, untrustworthy gangsters along the way!

The Gonc Fan Club would be well advised to spend more time reading the Portuguese press, and less time falling for propaganda from the Gonc mouthpieces.

Oh, I think he believes what he has said, Lily. He despises women in general. There is a lot of it about. Very Freudian.
I know that some of you have had better experiences than I have had, but I can only too easily understand how his mind works. He simply hates women, so it has to be them who are evil.
And of course, ordinary everyday detection is completely beyond him. Do you all remember when he "Discovered" that drugs were coming in by sea? FFS, Drugs have been coming in by sea for a very long time. And that is the sum total of what he knew about Drug Running.
And then according to The Lovely Sofa, he was very pissed off because no one fell about in amazement, and no one promoted him.
This is one very disappointed man who knew nothing about anything, but saw his fame and glory on what he got away with in The Cipriano Case.
Just look at the two cases. Almost word for word. You bloody well couldn't make it up.
