It matters quite a lot, actually, as he is portrayed by the Gonc fan club as a happily married man. Looks like he made a habit of cheating on his wife in the most tawdry, unsavoury fashion?

A policeman may in his mind think the chances of finding a missing child, after 6 years alive, are pretty slim. But in his heart he prays and hopes his fears are unfounded. One thing they do NOT do is flaunt themselves on TV, write books that clearly state the child is dead.

And before people jump up and down saying Amaral has never said that Madeleine McCann is definitely dead, he has. The foreward in his book clearly states it.

Goncalo Amaral's actions in my opinion, has caused harm to the search. The anti McCanns, who hero-worship this ex-detective, are clear examples of how they believe everything he says and totally ignore the words of DCI Andy Redwood who states that Madeleine could be alive.

The Gonc fan club appears to have forgotten disgusting remarks like:

Or more importantly, efforts to find Madeleine McCann - it's impossible not to think the callous barsteward has been doing it on purpose.

It's astounding the number of chancers, WUMs, wannabees and general snake oil salesman that have attached themselves to this case. Levy has to be the winner, though, if only for the lengths he went to to keep up the pretence.

Who can forget Morais trying to whip up a hate mob, which led to the Portuguese police putting up crowd control barriers outside court? She'd assured the forkers that 'everyone' supported Goncalol.

In the end, his 'support' turned out to be a couple of ageing devotees, and Morais herself, who went unrecognised because she looked so, er, well-fed, in contrast to her more youthful avatar.

I simply cannot imagine the wife of a UK suspect writing such a nasty letter to the mother of a missing child - it would be a national scandal.

And then Montclair/Carolina defends it with yet more abuse! But you can bet they'll be the first to complain at the slightest criticism of Portugal because of the likes of them.

Now, we know these creatures do NOT speak for the good people of Portugal, but they give the most dreadful impression of their nation.
