A report from state broadcaster RTP has this evening stated that Kate and Gerry McCann have been excluded as having had any involvement in the disappearance of their daughter.

It's not a bombshell to anyone here, as no-one sane would have made the McCanns suspects in the first place, but it will be devastating news to all the Gonzo fans.

NEW INFORMATION does not involve the hater shibboleths about '48 questions' (the PJ have doubtless realised that NHS shift systems are irrelevant to child abductions in Portugal). Nor does NEW INFORMATION involve pointless 'reconstructions' that have already been done electronically.

NEW INFORMATION does, in fact, exclude all the mainstays of the McCann-hater belief system. No doubt the events of the past day or two have come as a shock to the haters, but they really should at least attempt to grasp reality.
