@Scum_Cop_Amoral Dr. Amaral was present in court during the testimony of #McCann witnesses. Why aren't they present in court to hear HIS?

What, for yet another wasted journey? When one of Gonc's main witnesses isn't appearing? Pointless.

Especially as the court took a FOUR HOUR lunchbreak, according to hoho.

Farcical.

The McCanns' lawyer was there and that was enough.  What wonderful things was the oaf going to say anyway?

As it's already been established that the bulk of the evidence has been submitted in writing to the judge, then why on earth would the McCanns go to the hassle of travelling to Lisbon yet again to:

1. Hear stats from a book editor.

2. Get told that Stooge Sargento has chosen that very day to get married.

3. Take a four hour lunch break.

The whole thing is a shambles, I just cannot imagine any US or UK court conducting itself in such a shambolic fashion.

I know, Bonny.  There would be all sorts of phone calls made to people with authority to get them to stop the insanity.

Oh, I can now understand why they were trying to get money for Gonc's court costs.

It is to pay for the 4 hour lunches.  They must be very expensive bar bills.......Plus, are the lawyers paid by the hour for all time spent on that day?

And not one of them is of any relevance to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Sargento's just that publicity-hungry 'forensic psychologist' who pronounces people guilty if he doesn't like the colour of their clothes. He's been joined at the hip to Gonzo for years.

He has also fetched up in court himself several times, due to his contempt for Portuguese law. On one occasion, he nearly fouled up a high-profile rape case because he passed information to his chums at TVI instead of to the police.

The others are from publishing companies etc and are there merely to provide sales numbers, etc.

Nothing greatly interesting.

Sargento picked today to get married, anyway. Though he could have fitted the nuptials into the four-hour lunch break.

And that is indeed the truth.  

It's a laughing stock actually, Bonny.

The Gonc fan club don't seem to be grasping that the reason so many confusing stories are appearing just now is that he simply did NOT do the most basic groundwork.

We all took it for granted that the night creche records had been checked, didn't we? And it turns out they hadn't, which meant everyone was looking in the wrong direction for six years.

Phones not checked, abandoned buildings not checked - the list of Gonc foul-ups is endless.

It's hard not to think he woke up on May 4th and decided the McCanns DONE IT - as he himself admitted in his ghastly potboiler.

After that, he was putting all his energies into shaping evidence to fit his stupid hypothesis, and to Hell with the truth, accuracy, basic police work, anything.

Oh, and wasting manpower having the UK police followed, of course.

I am afraid that a court which operates in this lackadaisical manner deserves to be mocked, Lily.

After reading how Gonc did not do the most basic policing, you could have knocked any one of us over with a feather duster.  

He has really shown his country up to be honest. 

To top that off, the court today.....am speechless.  How on earth can they function in a manner even approaching efficiency?

Let us go simple for the fools. Does anyone honestly believe that Amaral's buddy didn't know that his wedding coincided with the trial date? Ask yourselves this,why was it only mentioned today as an excuse for an adjournment?

Gonc really should concede now.  It is clear he has no defense for the libel.

He doubtless wants to - he looks dreadful, frankly. But I doubt if the publishers, etc., will let him, as they have a lot of money at stake. Which is entirely their own fault for profiting from his lies and smears in the first place.

Remember, G & P may be co-defendants, but they don't publish his garbage any longer...
