I have just watched the CNN program 'Ammanpour'  containing a segment on Yorkshire, which apparently is third on a list compiled by Lonely Planet of wonderful places to visit.  However, Chrsistiane Ammanpour. born in London to an English mother and an Iranian father, made a statement that left me gobsmacked.  She extolled the pudding, terriers, landscape, mentioned Downton Abbey and that Bram Stoker set part of 'Dracuka' in Whitby Abbey, then said that Sherlock Holmes solved the Baskerville mystery on the Moors.  WHAT?  The Hound of the Baskervilles is set on DARTMOOR, hundreds of miles away from the Yorkshire Moors.  Still larfing!!   LL rofl rofl rofl rofl

Amanpour is a very respected and highly educated anchor journalist and has lived all over the world so I don't think her being born in London matters.   She must have been reading it from an auto-prompter, she very rarely makes mistakes. LL
