Maddie : Closing arguments in lawsuit against Gonçalo Amaral on January 7

The closing arguments of the trial against the former Judiciary Police inspector Gonçalo Amaral , accused of defamation by the parents of Madeleine McCann , missing British child in Algarve , were now marked for January 7 , informed the court.

On appeal the Court of Appeal overturned this ruling in Lisbon October 19, 2010 , after which Kate and Gerry McCann appealed to the Supreme Court , which upheld the decision of the March 18, 2011 .

Madeleine McCann disappeared from a holiday apartment in a tourist resort in Praia da Luz in the Algarve , where she was on holiday with her parents and twin brothers .
