South Korea's President has been denounced as a "repulsive wench" who has failed to marry or have children.

The attack on Park Geun-hye was contained in a report from the official North Korean news agency KCNA and was attributed to a private citizen.

Dispatches from the North often quote people purported to be citizens or foreign groups to attack the South and the US.

Kim Un Kyong was quoted by KCNA as criticising Ms Park’s offer to help impoverished women and children in North Korea as "foul-smelling vituperation uttered by human scum".

"Park Geun-hye is but an unseemly wench who has never had a chance to marry or bear a child," the quote said.

"A repulsive wench such as Park Geun-hye is an incoherent existence who has long given up trying to be a woman of Korea and who makes a mockery of sacred motherhood, mad with the pursuit of national confrontation."

Guess feminism hasn't reached North Korea yet?

A London salon that used a photo of Kim Jong-un to advertise a 'bad hair' discount has been visited by North Korean agents who wanted it removed because it was 'disrespectful' to their Supreme Leader.
Mo Nabbach, who runs M&M Hair Academy in South Ealing, hoped his poster would drum up business, but instead it attracted attention from officials from the rogue state's nearby embassy.
The advert used a close-up picture of Kim Jong-un's distinctive haircut, with his close-shaved sides and a longer, floppy, middle-parted crop of dark hair.
Below the picture it said: 'Bad hair day? 15% off all gent cuts through the month of April'.
Mr Nabbach said soon afterwards North Korean officials, whose embassy is two miles away in a converted semi in Gunnersbury, arrived to protest.
Two men in suits took photographs of the west London shop and its poster of their 'Dear Leader', as well as taking notes.
They returned later to tell him the poster was 'disrespectful' to their country's 'Supreme Leader' and must be removed, Mr Nabbach said.
'I told them this is England and not North Korea and told them to get their lawyers,' he told the Evening Standard.

'We did take it down but then some of our clients told me to put it back up because we have a democracy here.
'The two guys were wearing suits and they were very serious. It was very threatening'.
After the incident he went to his police station in the leafy west London suburb 'in case something happened to the salon', and Scotland Yard revealed today the North Koreans did the same.

He';s like a little boy with a box of matches - if he wee to fire a nuclear weapon at the south, the fall out wouild also be over at least one third of China and they would be rather upset. Have you noticed he does this kind of thing every time something very important happens elsewhere? I think someone will slit his throat before he would be able to use such weapons - even the most fanatical supporter doesn't want to die, especially as radiation is a very nasty way to go. LL

Dozens of raging fires in North Korea have been photographed from space.

The images taken from a Nasa satellite showed vast plumes of smoke rising from across the east and southeast areas of the secretive state, near its border with South Korea.

Many of the fires appeared to be in farm lands near rivers, which the agency said may have been lit by farmers clearing debris to help fertilise the soil.

Others were in heavily forested areas, suggesting they could be wildfires, or started by drooping wires on ageing power lines.

"Collectively, the fires were producing enough smoke to send plumes of haze drifting east over the Sea of Japan," Nasa said on its website.

The images were taken by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on Nasa's Aqua satellite, earlier this week.

A comment after the article on Sky said that this was weeks ago. Don't know if it's correct or not, Bonny.
