José Pereira immigrated to the United States in the 80s but has returned to the land where he was born .

José Pereira aka Joe in New Jersey , emigrated to the United States in the 1980s and was known throughout the Portuguese community . he married an Italian , the daughter of a man linked to the Mafia , and for twenty years , transported hundreds of illegal immigrants to the United States through Mexico and Canada .

Fled the United States for eight years and received the Saturday magazine, who told the whole story. Here in Portugal , do not need to escape the authority , no one knows the past he left behind .

The need to escape came when his scheme was uncovered in 2007 when a partner diverted payments to hisr account and attracted police attention for his office . he continues to have an arrest warrant in his name , but PJ has not received any contact from the U.S. authorities .
