For heaven's sake, it's Bonfire Night, most people either go to a bonfire and watch the fireworks or retire to the local for copious tipples.  And it's dark  though not too cold, and a ploughman's would be most acceptable ....  Like most of these marches it's wishful thinking!!    LL

The feed's back on rt itself; some drunk woman seems to be arguing with a policeman about politics, which is pretty pointless.

Oxford Street, just passed Oxford Circus, either going towards Charing Cross Road or towards Marble Arch, bit difficult to tell.   Trying to pinpoint some building I can recognize.   LL

ETA Bus showing Kings Cross so must be going east towards Charing Cross Road. Problem is Oxford Street is very long and just full of shops and big buildings.

I couldn't work out exactly where it was or where they were going - or why - either, LL, and got bored with it, will look again later. Have we any idea what stomping around central London is supposed to achieve? Beyond put $$$$$$ in the pocket of whatever Chinese businessman makes V masks?

If you want to cause damage then Oxford Street is the obvious target. I am too tired to watch it further, it's boring, I agree. LL

I glanced again, they seem to be outside the BBC now? They just seem to be shouting, they're not doing any damage that I can see, though I may have missed it.

It's more than 7 years since I was last in London and in the dark it's hard to pick out recognisable buildings etc. LL

It's turned into a London by night tour; they passed car showrooms a few minutes ago. The majority seem about ready to go home - or to the pub - and tweet and fb their exciting evening out. I suppose the danger is that, in a group that size, it only needs a handful that DO want trouble and a very nasty situation can flare out of nowhere.

Oh, and someone should really tell Mutton that we were all watching it live courtesy of RT before we get any tall tales from the Cone Wars.
