Aw, that's sweet, LL - Freeview do some clever ads, it's not always the most glitzy ones that work.

That one is almost overdosing on cuteness, LL!
The German one Greenink posted is clever - wasn't inspired by Kraftwerk, was it?

Could be, but I was never into electronic music or really any 'modern' music. LLbb1 wrote:That one is almost overdosing on cuteness, LL!

Are we going to have Santa Claus on his journey again this year? I do so love that.

Re: 'Twas the first ad of Christmas....
Thanks, LL.
Some Anglican Bishop told a bunch of kids last week that Father Christmas doesn't exist. What is the matter with these people? Santa Clause, Saint Nicholas, was a saint, for Christ's sake. What more do they want? Have they no magic in their souls?
I still have, and I am well past my sell by date.

Pass. Not religious but I don't like adults debunking childrens' beliefs; childhood is very short and disillusion sets in soon enough. LLSabot wrote:Thanks, LL.

Re: 'Twas the first ad of Christmas....
So, he's quite happy to believe in his own particular sky pixie and all the tales of impossible, miraculous happenings that go with it, but tells children NOT to believe in someone that does the almost-possible? After all, humans can fly around the world several times in the course of 24 hours.....

Re: 'Twas the first ad of Christmas....
I had to stop today, for three of the tiniest Deers on the road. They stopped to look at me, and then carried on across a field and into a wood. It quite made my day. And they didn't half go. Such joy around here sometimes.

It's lovely coming across deer, you never expect them to be so near to you...
OMG, can you imagine the horror of getting this in your Yuletide mail?

Cameron's isn't terribly Christmassy, but at least it won't scare the children.
Clegg appears to have been inspired by Scrooge.

Re: 'Twas the first ad of Christmas....
Phew, thank goodness China was able to save Christmas for thousands of households....
The £34.99 figure from Disney’s Frozen became this Christmas’s most sought-after present, selling out in the shops within days. Pictured Meredith McMillan-Ward with one of the first new dolls to be delivered
Now in a move dubbed Operation Elsa, manufacturer Jakks Pacific has sent a special delivery from its factories in China to meet the huge demand.
The ship, the MOL Quartz, docked in Southampton last week, and delivery drivers are now working around the clock to unload 12 containers of Disney merchandise and rush them to high street stores such as The Entertainer

He won't even have a Twig in his house. Much too Pagan. Actually, I quite like some of The Twig Trees. It depends on what you can afford.
My Twigs have come free. And now I have a few odd beautiful Camillias blooming.
