The intention to frighten and intimidate is clear for all to see.

Ignoring the fact that this 'man' has so much 'ability' that he managed to get himself arrested and convicted some 88 times   , she could almost get away with that BS if:

a) he wasn't holding some type of machine gun
b) he hadn't used the word 'coward'
c) didn't have 88 convictions
d) he hadn't admitted in the Daily Mail that he once threatened his girlfriend with a shotgun.

If I was a late middle aged woman trying to restart a so far dire career as a journalist I would think having a middle aged man who thinks he's liam neeson trailing after me threatening people on twitter was more of a knife in the back than having my back. If it turns out she did take a convicted criminal who has admitted threatening a woman with a gun and who still threatens people online to aid her in "door stopping" a female victim of a crime when she was alone then that's her career over before it rebegan. Imagine that picture of him with a gun in the daily mail alongside his various threats and poultons various crackpot theories, as the daily mail tells its outraged readers how they tried to intimidate Kate McCann in her own home.

I genuinely pity her for such a sad statement and I am very glad that you cannot get criminals such as Lee Ryan off the shelf in Hallmark. What an awful society it would be if thugs and criminals were available in that way even if only to mind the backs of shrieky women who lack self control! Needing a man to be your bodyguard is a long way from a normal view of romance in Britain. Even in the parts of the world such as Afghanistan and Iraq where having a bodyguard is more normal it is not seen as a romantic attachment but an unavoidable necessity.
