Israel's Prime Minister has warned the US Congress that Iran's nuclear programme is a "grave threat not only to Israel but also to the peace of the entire world".

In a historic address, Benjamin Netanyahu prompted one of several standing ovations from lawmakers as he said: "We must all stand together to stop Iran's march of conquest, subjugation and terror."

OK, who has Iran conquered, subjugated and terrorised? Nope, can't think of anyone....

I can, however, think of a nearby nation that helps itself to other people's land, bombs civilians, and refuses to co-operate with international bodies about its own stock of nuclear weapons.

Belhadj worked with U.S. and NATO to overthrow Gaddafi


Abdelhakim Belhadj has reportedly joined forces with the Islamic State, according to the journalist Sara Carter. Belhadj is a former al-Qaeda operative who was a key player in the overthrow of Moammar Gaddafi. He worked directly with the U.S. and NATO.

If Belhadj has gone over to Islamic State, it will represent a major boost to Islamic State’s efforts to co-opt and bring in Libya’s existing jihadist forces under their banner, which now reportedly includes as many as 3,000 fighters. Belhadj’s forces play a significant role in the Islamist “Libyan Dawn” coalition (which includes the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda’s Ansar al-Sharia), which currently holds Tripoli, and which claims to be the rightful government in opposition to the U.N. recognized government of Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thinni.
The Islamic State in Libya is based in Derna, a city in the northeast part of the country. In 2001, it represented “one of the greatest concentrations of jihadi terrorists to be found anywhere in the world, and by some measures can be regarded as the leading source of suicide bombers anywhere on the planet,” according to Webster Tarpley.

It was also “the epicenter of the NATO-backed rebellion,” writes Tony Cartalucci.

In 2011 Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, a leading figure of the Derna jihadists, told the Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Or he had recruited “around 25″ men from the Derna area in eastern Libya to fight against coalition troops in Iraq.

earlier today, US Secretary of State John Kerry (who one hopes doesn't use kerryemails.com as a work email server) who is on a trip to Saudi Arabia unveiled the next steps when he said that "military pressure may be needed to oust Syria's President Bashar al-Assad."

And WTF has it got to do with Kerry, or anyone in Washington, who is president of Syria? Haven't these morons done enough damage, killed enough people in the Middle East, funded and trained enough terrorist groups yet?

Their biggest problem is that the rest of the world is wakening up to just what they've done, Lily, and the horrifying extent of it. People can see that there is no great principle involved here, just greed and lust for power.

Authorities in Turkey have confirmed social media reports that an injured Islamic State commander is being treated in a Denizli hospital, saying the militant has every right to receive medical care as he is a Turkish citizen.

The man, identified as Emrah Cakan, has reportedly been recovering in a hospital in Denizli in southwestern Turkey since February 28.

He was among 1,000 Turks, who joined the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), and quickly rose to the rank of a senior commander.

Cakan’s treatment “was started upon his own application,” the Denizli governor's office said in a statement.

“The procedural acts concerning his injury were conducted by our border city during his entry to our country and they still continue. And his treatment continues as a part of his right to benefit from health services just like all our citizens,” it added.

Meanwhile, the Kurds, who have been fighting IS for the strategic city of Kobani on the Turkish-Syrian border since September, don’t seem to be as welcome in Turkey’s medical institutions as Islamic State militants.

The International Business Times reported the story of medical student, Esra Yakar, who went to Kobani to treat the wounded in December and received serious head injuries in a jihadist attack.

On her return to Turkey, the young woman was bounced around between hospitals, which led to her losing an eye.

After Yakar was finally hospitalized in Ankara, the police arrested her on terrorism charges.

She was released from prison on Thursday due to poor health, but will still stand trial on April 30.

It is time for the leaders of Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Israel to stand together, for their (and our) common enemies, to see.

Imagine the reactions of ISIS, Hezbollah, Hamas, and Iran -- at the sight of three Arab states and the sole Jewish state, standing together, united against them. It would herald the end of Islamist imperialism -- and the beginning of a new Middle East.

Unfortunately, Saudi Arabia has been financing the crazies, and Jordan has been allowing the training of 'nice rebels' that have turned out to be headchoppers on its territory.

Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas have been fighting ISIS for some time.

And when Israel had a choice between bombing the Syrian army and the headchoppers in the Golan Heights recently.....Israel bombed the Syrian Army.

I do wish the tale wasn't being spread that this is, yet again, Us V Them, with Us automatically the goodies and Them the Baddies. Whatever is going on in the Middle East is a very dirty business, which is being exploited by some very nasty people.

Well, it's a smarter idea than taking us into yet another war based on yet another war.

I still have nightmares about what would have happened if the Commons hadn't stopped that nonsense - UK and US troops would have been fighting on the same side as ISIS if the warmongering liars had got away with it.
