Bernie Sanders: Democratic presidential candidate kicked off the stage by Black Lives Matter protesters
Hilary will be cackling today - I would reckon that stunt has pretty much destroyed any realistic chance Sanders ever had. Just look at him - acting like a whipped dog at his own rally!
Mind you, Putin, China, the ayatollahs, etc., will be praying he somehow gets elected.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/08/10/us-ferguson-anniversary-idUSKCN0QE0HI20150810
A man was gravely wounded in a gun battle with police in Ferguson, Missouri on Sunday night after a day of peaceful rallies to mark the fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager by a white officer one year ago.
Several volleys of gunshots rang out as police in riot gear tried to disperse demonstrators blocking traffic and smashing storefront windows along a street that was a flashpoint of last year's unrest in the St. Louis suburb after Michael Brown, 18, was slain.
Police later said the gunfire began with two groups of agitators apparently shooting at each other. When one gunman ran across a parking lot, four police detectives pulled up in an unmarked vehicle and confronted him.
The suspect opened fire on the police vehicle and was badly wounded in the ensuing foot chase and exchange of gunshots with the four officers, police said.
St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said the unidentified man, believed to be in his mid-20s, was hospitalized in critical and unstable condition, and was undergoing surgery.
More madness at link.

Nothing you can say, really.

A crowd of about 50 people looted a beauty store in the St. Louis suburb and protesters grew confrontational late in the evening. There was no immediate word of any arrests.
I am sure looting a wig shop will help with the Struggle enormously.

If you scroll down, you can see - and hear - the worst of the shooting breaking out ....
Andre Anderson, the acting head of Ferguson’s Police Department, added that several people were detained during the protests, but did not specify how many had been arrested.
The gunfire occurred as Anderson was speaking to CNN about how the police, “just wanted to be as patient as possible.” As he talked, some 20 shots could clearly be heard in the background. The clip of the incident showed the police chief was shocked, as he looked away in awe when the shooting began
I am not sure 'awe' is the correct word; despair is more like it.

http://www.newsweek.com/officials-issue-state-emergency-st-louis-county-361597
Updated | Officials issued a state of emergency in St. Louis County on Monday in the wake of violence that erupted the previous night as protesters gathered on the one-year anniversary of Michael Brown's death.
Brown, an 18-year-old African-American man, was fatally shot by a white police officer last summer on August 9, in Ferguson, Missouri, and the suburb was forced into the national spotlight.
"The recent acts of violence will not be tolerated in a community that has worked so tirelessly over the last year to rebuild and become stronger," St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger wrote in a statement. He added that Ferguson "will not be destroyed by a few that wish to violate the rights of others."
As Stenger announced the state of emergency, police were arresting at least 50 protesters outside of the Thomas F. Eagleton United States Courthouse in St. Louis, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. They demanded the dissolution of the Ferguson Police Department, which has been highly criticized for routinely violating constitutional rights of African-Americans.
Dozens of demonstrators gathered in the square outside the building and chanted, "Black lives matter," "You can't stop the revolution" and "Which side are you on?" to the beat of drums.

the cops seem to be rounding up the main sh*t-stirrers, I mean social justice warriors. No sign of Obama or Soros being arrested, though.

Re: US politics and election
I am wondering if the puppeteers are concerned that these idiots may have got out of hand, Lily? I saw Loretta Lynch earlier, and she didn't sound in the least bit sympathetic to them - which must have been a pleasant change for normal Americans after Holder.
I confess, I didn't think the authorities were ever going to do anything about these pests, let alone arrest the ringleaders. Maybe last night's shootout was just too much for even the current Washington establishment to ignore?
I don't know, I am just speculating from a safe distance.

After the Chicago protests, the demonstrators were confident that the majority of Americans would side with them over what had happened in Chicago, especially because of police behavior. They were shocked to learn that controversy over the war in Vietnam overshadowed their cause.[13] Daley shared he had received 135,000 letters supporting his actions and only 5000 condemning them. Public opinion polls demonstrated that the majority of Americans supported the Mayor's tactics.[29] It was often commented through the popular media that on that evening, America decided to vote for Richard Nixon.[30]

Re: US politics and election
I just realised who would benefit.
Just before all this kicked off last year, there was great concern and debate about the militarisation of the US police - all those Humvees, etc.
Now, most people wouldn't give a flying one if airstrikes were called in on Ferguson and similar trouble spots.....

The Fox News Channel (FNC) appears to be backing down under criticism from 2016 GOP frontrunner billionaire Donald Trump and others, and is now asking the real estate magnate to appear on the network again.
Roger Ailes, the president of Fox News, called Trump personally on Monday— according to Trump—assuring him that his network would be fair after what many saw as a questionable performance in last Thursday’s debate in Cleveland, Ohio, by anchors Megyn Kelly, Chris Wallace and Bret Baier. Many observers believed that the Fox News trio ganged up on Trump, asking him some questions that many thought crossed the line.
Not like the Murdoch empire to back down, unless there is something in it for themselves.
