UK Labour leader calls for back channel to Islamic State
LONDON (AP) — British opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn says there should be a communications channel created with the Islamic State group in hopes of ending the war in Syria.
Labour Party leader, Jeremy Corbyn delivers his speech to the Fabian Society annual conference at the Institute of Education in central London, Saturday Jan. 16, 2016. A Labour government could ban companies from paying out dividends to shareholders unless they pay all their workers the living wage, Jeremy Corbyn said. (Jonathan Brady/PA via AP) UNITED KINGDOM OUT

The Labour leader told the BBC on Sunday that a back channel — similar to the one created with the Irish Republican Army during the decades-long conflict in Northern Ireland — should be established. Corbyn says "There has to be a route through somewhere," particularly given that some IS commanders are former officers in the Iraqi Army.
He says "there has to be some understanding of where their strong points are, where their weak points are." Corbyn also reiterated his long-standing opposition to Britain's Trident nuclear deterrent and suggested that submarines could be deployed without nuclear warheads on them.

Effing moron.
It is perfectly possible to negotiate with groups using terror as a means to a political end.
It is utterly impossible to negotiate with groups that want to enslave your womenfolk, chop your head off, destroy history, etc., because their Sky Fairy has told them to.

Fresh outbreak of virtue-signalling now underway in UK:

Here is the quote from David Cameron attacking Jeremy Corbyn over the unions, Falklands and migrants at Calais. He is likely to get criticised for the phrase “a bunch of migrants”. Pointing to Corbyn and McDonnell, he said:
The idea that those two right honourable gentlemen would stand up to anyone in this regard is laughable. Look at their record over the last week. They met with the unions and gave them flying pickets. They met with the Argentinians, they gave them the Falkland Islands. They met with a bunch of migrants in Calais they said they could all come to Britain. The only people they never stand up for are the British people and hardworking taxpayers.
Personally, I find 'bunch' a fairly polite way of describing the rioting orcs. But that's just me.

Jeremy Corbyn 'showed off naked Diane Abbott pictures to impress his Left-wing activist friends' after breakdown of his first marriage
Jeremy Corbyn and Diane Abbott had a sexual relationship in the 1970s
Labour leader was still married to his first wife, but they had separated
Friends say they found Ms Abbott in bed in Corbyn's London bedsit

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry says the United States wants a "strong UK staying in a strong European Union"
1. The EU is falling apart in front of our eyes, not least because of Washington's meddling in sovereign states.
2. It is NONE of your business, so butt out, Lurch.

What's he going to do if we vote to Brexit? Regime change us? Obama's foreign policy has been an utter disaster, which has cost hundreds of thousands of lives, so Kerry can go and spin on it.

Re: Hopey-changey in the UK
Thing is, Lily, if Obama and co had left the Middle East alone, hadn't toppled Gaddafi, hadn't tried to topple Assad - THEN EUROPE WOULDN'T BE FULL OF 'REFUGEES' IN THE FIRST PLACE.
And a growing number of UK voters wouldn't be wanting to pull up the drawbridge to keep said 'refugees' out.
It is actually Obama's policies that are driving most of the demands for a Brexit.

I shudder to think what Obama is going to try to do in the dying days of his regime, Lily, I don't see him leaving quietly. To quote Cromwell....
You have sat too long for any good you have been doing lately ... Depart, I say; and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!

I find it interesting that, surprisingly often, Sanders is talking on the same lines as Trump, Lily. No more regime-changing, US troops protecting America, bringing jobs back, anti-globalism, that sort of thing.
It's a pity he also believes in the Magic Money Tree, but I can see why they are scaring the Washington elites so much.

Oh yes. We can see it in their articles in the media and who they are getting to sing their anthem, e.g., George Clooney.
