Nigel Farage has accepted a challenge to debate with Alex Salmond in the run up to the in/out referendum on EU membership.
Scotland’s former first minister threw down the gauntlet to the Ukip leader during an interview on the Sky News Murnaghan programme.
READ MORE - John Swinney’s tax and benefit demands branded illogical
The SNP’s foreign affairs spokesman said he would be “delighted” to take on Mr Farage “or any comer on the anti-European side”.
He told the programme: “I don’t know if they’ve quite decided who they will be fielding yet. They seem to have spent a lot of time fighting with each other.
“That’s the sort of folk they are. But yes, of course you debate all comers in a referendum campaign.
“If I may say so it has been Mr Cameron whose been tentative and sensitive about debating with people in recent history.”
A Ukip spokesman later said Mr Farage was “absolutely up for it” but that any debate should be broader than just a one-to-one with Mr Salmond.
He said: “Mr Salmond is no longer leader of the party, no longer leader in Scotland, no longer leader in Westminster and it should be broader than just Nigel and Salmond, because neither of them represent the whole argument.”
The mind boggles - it would turn into a Shout-a-Thon. Not least because the SNP have got themselves into a totally irrational and illogical position over the EU.

Conservative MP Jacob Rees-Mogg said: “The intervention of patronising foreign potentates such as Kerry… can only help the Leave campaign.
True, that.
PS - Is it me, or is just about everyone in the Western world angry just now?

Sickening lies. Serial deceit. And proof Blair has blood on his hands: Top investigative writer's devastating dossier on former PM's messianic mission to invade Iraq

Hope President Trump detains Blair in Gitmo while he awaits trial at The Hague.
According to Murdoch, he then quizzed his servants in Carmel and learned that Blair had stayed overnight on April 27, 2013. Yet Blair had met him the following day in Los Angeles — to ask for money for his Faith Foundation — and hadn’t mentioned staying at the ranch or seeing Deng.
Murdoch’s staff told him the rest: during their meals, the couple had been seen feeding each other, and Blair had also been spotted joining Deng in her bedroom and closing the door.

Re: Hopey-changey in the UK
Tis all a bit gobsmacking, eh what! Not the mention the way in which he deceived even his own Cabinet.
But will anything be done?

I doubt if anything will be done in the foreseeable future, Sabot, but winds of change are blowing through politics in Europe and the US, so who knows?
The way things are at present, nothing will happen on the international stage - every damned one of them is equally corrupt.
But - Blair quite undeniably lied to Parliament, and that is, or should be, a biggie. If the Tories ever find a spine, and Murdoch is looking for payback, anything is possible.

Re: Hopey-changey in the UK
I just don't understand how he got away with this in the first place. Is there no control over what a Prime Minister can do without the sanction of Parliament?
I don't really care about what he got up to with Wendy Deng. With a wife like his, who would?

Re: Hopey-changey in the UK
But Parliament voted to approve the invasion of Iraq, Sabot.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Parliamentary_approval_for_the_invasion_of_Iraq
At 10 pm, the motion without the amendment was passed by 412 to 149 votes,[5] authorising the invasion. The British military campaign against Iraq, Operation Telic, began one day later.
Yes, he lied to the Commons, but they approved of his lies...

Re: Hopey-changey in the UK
And you begin to see why people are angry....
Oh, and the SNP are busily selling themselves down the river, troughing like champions in London, and talking up the EU, in a campaign which makes absolutely NO sense to anyone.
Because you can't object to London rule and announce that Berlin/Brussels rule is just wonderful.
The entire Western world seems to be angry right now.

The Masters of the Universe are up against Father Time. Look how old Soros is, for example, not to mention other globalists who have been waiting for this since the end of WWII. They knew how to buy people.
