I hope you enjoyed your trip on the Riesenrad, bonny, good head for heights? Stollen was, I understand, created in Dresden, Germany and then made its way to the Germanic lands. Ours is a bit less heavy than the German kind. LL

I like stollen too.  We get good ones here as there is a large German population.

Also, I absolutely the giant ferris wheels, wherever they are!

Yes.  Vienna is a filmaker's dream, pre-war and after.   I assume you have seen The Third Man, my parents and me watched it being filmed - that is the Vienna I love, recovering from a great sickness (the Nazis) and reinventing itself to how it is today.   I know I am biased ....  LL
