This isn't just some silly old Troll with mental health issues, posting from his basement bedroom. This is a seriously vicious man who desperately wants to cause harm to a family he doesn't even know.

I don't know if it is true or not, but many have speculated that the reason Bennett has his knife into the McCanns is that he pictured himself attaching himself to them, as he did to other cases. Obviously, he failed.

I don't know if it's true or not, but it's certainly one explanation for his vendetta.
