I read that review LL.  However am not too impressed by it. 

After watching some of the episodes, it is too compelling that he did escape.  There were even eye witnesses interviewed.  The guy in charge was one of the intelligence world's most reliable figures.

I am 95% certain he died in the Bunker. But there will always be that nagging 5% - I've always thought it odd that they left a dead Hitler double for the Soviets to find.

If you get a chance to watch the series, take a look.  It may surprise you.

Interesting, Lily. I do have that 5% of doubt, not least because our main source of information about his death is Stalin's USSR. And what has come out since the fall of the Soviet Union didn't change matters much. The one thing that would is, of course, DNA, but every scrap of his remains have been destroyed.

Agree, LL, the Goebells self-destruction is probably conclusive, but given how deranged they all were by the end, nothing is impossible.

I've seen him speaking on TV a few times, and he seemed remarkably sane, all things considered.

Goebbels stated that he and his family could not contemplate life without being at the side of Hitler, so he had Magda, his wife, poison their six children, then kill themselves. At the end, he was the only senior Nazi still loyal to Hitler, Goering and Himmler were negotiating with the allies for immunity if they sold their beloved Fuhrer to his enemies. With Hitler gone, there was nothing for Goebbels to live for. LL

I doubt it; what man kills his 6 small children just because his idol his hero, is dead? His misery would ge the death of Hitler, first and last. I am very sorry to hear he hurt a friend of yours, would that person have been in show business as I know he had a fixation with actresses? My non-stop hatred is for Himmler whose edicts sent my relatives to Mauthusen for being intellectuals, not for religious reasons as they were RC. LL

No LL.  She was not but was a very beautiful blue eyed blond.  We had a meal together at the studio and, I have told this story before so apologies.  She had a grey tattoo on her wrist.  She was 15 when that f*** t***er took her for sex whenever he desired.  He kept telling her that as long as she did that her whole family was safe.  (They were all in the same camp).  One night while he was doing his usual he told her that he had killed all of her family in the camp.  

That was the first time we met.  She was such a warm loving funny lady and I was privileged to know her.

That is why I wish misery on him.
