Bad news, but from the way they were attacking people, I don't think there was any choice - few people doubt that if they had got near Trump himself, he'd be dead right now.

Bonny, I watched this on TV very early this morning as it was going on. It was the big crowd version of free speech for me but not for you - I immediately thought of the puny efforts of Morais et al.

It is illegal in this country and we will have to watch the aftermath. I suspect you are right and that means even more votes for Trump.

But one can't actually take him seriously. Can one?

Apart from Hilary, I have no idea of who the other parties are, or even what Party her or any of the rest of them are. And no good telling me because I just don't take it in.

I do know that The Senate wins, although not sure who they are either. A bit like Julius Caesar. Fiddling while Rome burns.

But I also know that No President ever rules America. It is a fool who thinks they can. This is probably a good thing. Although I don't actually care all that much.

Such are the thoughts of a Little Englander who bailed out of England a long time ago. And so much admired what was the real America in days not completely beyond my age. This America is still in my mind. Although apparently long gone now.

It will only be interesting to see who wins.

Ah well, you see, the Senate hasn't won against Obama, mainly because they've never bothered - the rot is very deep.

I have to say, Trump has nerves of steel - his first reaction wasn't to cower, but to go for whoever the asshole was.
