A presidential contest twixt Trump and Sanders might actually be civilised, what with neither of them being on the take from globalists and neither of them being warmongers. They could have gentlemanly, grandfatherly debates about economics and things.....

That would make a change.

Even I have got tired of some of the fighting. Trump needs to calm down or else he will lose everything he has worked for.

He seems to have taken a bit of a back step apart from twitter this weekend? Hopefully, his family have told him to relax and await the arrival of the new baby.

If he's any sense, he'll pull back a bit from the fray, and leave assorted enemies to make mistakes.

Sanders won Alaska 81-to-18 percent; 68-32 in Hawaii and 73-26 in Wshignton over Clinton, with all precincts reporting.

Washington was the biggest prize, 101 delegates, followed by Hawaii with 25 and Alaska with 16.

I saw one commentator pointing out that no, she isn't actually a 'strong' candidate, because on a level playing field, she's beaten by an elderly socialist that believes in the Magic Money Tree....

DEVELOPING ...

An alleged gunman was taken into custody, and a U.S. Capitol Police officer reportedly was wounded, after shots were fired Monday afternoon at the Capitol Visitor Center complex – an incident that sent the Capitol complex and the White House into lockdown.

Fox News is told there was a single shooter, who was shot by law enforcement and is now in custody. An internal security notice obtained by Fox News said the “shooter is down and on the way to the hospital.”

The same notice said “one individual was hit by shrapnel and is being taken to the hospital.”

According to The Associated Press, a U.S. Capitol Police officer was shot, though was not believed to be seriously injured.

The U.S. Capitol complex remains on lockdown after reports of gunfire first surfaced Monday afternoon. No one will be allowed to enter or exit any building, and those outside are being told to seek cover.

An internal message says U.S. Capitol Police were locking down the complex "due to a potential security threat."

The White House also was briefly put on lockdown because of the report.

The situation was apparently contained to the Visitors Center but no further information was immediately available.

No news at present whether it's crime, nutter or islam. Or some combination of all three.
