Jerusalem police commissioner Yoram Halevy said there was "no doubt" it was a terror attack.

He added: "We are investigating where the explosive device came from, who planted it, how it got on the bus."

Police initially said they were looking at the possibility a technical malfunction on the bus caused the blast, but they later confirmed an explosive device was detonated at the back of the vehicle.

Israel's foreign press spokesman, Micky Rosenfeld, told Sky News there were two "key people" on board when the explosion happened, and they had suffered serious injuries.

Yes, Bonny. Sadly it appears that the violence is going to continue all over.

Sadly, yes. And I have to say, islamists are scarcely helping their own cause these days. Between their appalling behaviour in Europe, the knife attacks in Israel, and now this, I've noticed a good few online saying they are starting to understand why Israel has built a damned great Wall of its own.



It's astoundingly ugly, and none of this violence helps the people whose land is being grabbed by Israel - quite the opposite, in fact.

I think I would happily take ugly if it kept the violence out.

Anyone with a grain of common sense would, Lily. Things like this don't make life one bit better for the non-violent Palestinians at odds with Israel, it just ramps up the violence. Though I suppose that's the whole idea from the standpoint of the fanatics behind it.

I think you are right. Maybe they don't know or want to be peaceful?
