Re: Mrs May calls snap General Election
Thanks, LL. I'm not making predictions, the polls are all over the place, and here, the pollsters seem to be trying to apply Central Belt figures to the rural marginals.

Re: Mrs May calls snap General Election
That would be OK - enough to strengthen Mrs May's hand in Brexit negotiations, and give the rest of us a bit of peace, but not so much that the Tories go power-mad.

Quite; it's terrifying that he's managed to con so many gullible people with his hopey-changey bilge, and that they can't see what a horror lies underneath his kindly grandfather act.

Secret plot to oust Theresa May as ministers threaten ‘stalking horse’ if PM fails to deliver ‘hard’ Brexit.
Theresa May will face a “stalking horse” challenge to topple her as Prime Minister if she waters down Brexit, senior Tories have warned.
Leading Eurosceptic MPs have told The Telegraph they are prepared to mount an immediate leadership challenge if Mrs May deviates from her original plan.
The revelation comes after a torrid week for the Prime Minister in which she faced fierce criticism for her handling of the Grenfell Tower catastrophe.
Conservative MPs – including Cabinet ministers – have concluded that Mrs May cannot lead them into the next election and they are now discussing when she could go.
Eurosceptic MPs have warned that any attempt to keep Britain in the customs union and single market or any leeway for the European Court of Justice to retain an oversight function will trigger an “overnight” coup. More at link.

Not as far as I know, ma petite. I used to 'do' Glastonbury yearly with friends but so glad I don't any more. He did make some snidy remarks, one about Trump and also a go at Mrs May re this gen election he so desperately wants. LLI don't suppose he had anything to say about The Cladding in Islington, did he?
ETA Since most of the attendees are either stoned out of their minds on drugs or totally paralytic on booze one can only assume very few of them knew what was going on! LL

Never been there, LL. But my youngest son has. He caught Scabies sleeping in someone else's sleeping bag and I had to call the doctor in the middle of the night because he was in such a state.
The doctor was marvellous, and so kind.
Actually, Dom thought it was the Pot he had been smoking somewhat to excess and had been afraid to say so, which is why the Scabies got so bad. I thought this was hilarious, especially as it put a stop to that bit of malarky.

Re: Mrs May calls snap General Election
Hold my bag whilst I vomit. Who's he kidding! This lot are too young to remember what the last Labout Govt did. Took us into an illegal war! Made it harder to take terrorists off the street, completely opened the borders, utterly bankrupted us and left a little sticky pad note to boast about it. Champagne Socialists living in million pound London homes don't represent real working class people in this country.
Quite. History is littered with examples of what happens when clueless young people are taken in by politicians promising the earth....

Re: Mrs May calls snap General Election
If history teaches us anything, it should be that mobs of sheep cheering on 'charismatic' leaders ALWAYS leads to disaster, and that the mob is ALWAYS wrong.
Corbyn's no different from any other past rabble-rouser.

Glastonbury's big clean-up began in earnest this morning as the last of the festival goers staggered home having watched Ed Sheeran bring the event to a close on Sunday night

What a bunch of dirty pigs! I thought all those shiny-faced Jezza worshippers were supposed to care about the environment, but they can't even be ar@ed to clean up behind themselves.
Doubtless they regard that as work for the Little People, who should be honoured to pick up their trash.

Re: Mrs May calls snap General Election
Happens like that every year, seems to be the norm to go to most pop festivals, have a great time, get smashed on booze, shoot up drugs, have s*x with all and sundry etc then go home and let the organisers deal with the mess. LL

God, what a mess. But the Seagulls seem to be doing alright. Perhaps they can be coerced into voting Labour. They've probably got the same amount of brain cells.

Indeed. And the only 'working class' people at Glastonbury are the crews cleaning up the mess left by Corbyn's adoring fan club.
