The family of one of the Manchester bombing victims has called on the Government to "open its eyes".
Georgina Callander, 18, was one of the 22 people killed by a suicide bomber who struck after an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena last Monday.
In a tribute to the teenager, her family said: "Her life was taken away after 18 short years by evil, evil men prepared to ruin lives and destroy families, for what?
"I wish I could say that Georgina is one of the last to die in this way but unless our government opens its eyes we know we are only another in a long line of parents on a list that continues to grow."...etc.
Quite. I am personally sick to death of tearful hashtags, vigils and candles, while the list of the dead grows ever-longer.

Police arrest man on English south coast in bombing inquiry
LONDON (AP) — British police have made an arrest on the south coast of England in the widening inquiry into the deadly Manchester concert bombing. Great Manchester Police said a 23-year-old man was arrested Monday in Shoreham-by-Sea on suspicion of terrorism offenses. The arrest means 14 men are now in custody in Britain for suspected roles in the bombing of an Ariana Grande concert that killed 22 people. The suspects have not been identified or charged. Britain's intelligence services have launched an inquiry into how warnings about 22-year-old Salman Abedi's radical views were handled.

I suspect the answer to that is 'badly'. Just like the warnings about the Boston bombers were ignored in the US.

A cousin of Manchester bomber Salman Abedi posted antisemitic tweets appearing to celebrate the holocaust, it has emerged.
Abderahman Forjani, 21, who was arrested along with his 24-year-old brother Abdalla as part of the investigation into the bombing, posted: 'If only Hitler was still alive - these Jews would be burned in gas chambers.'
He also posted that Manchester is his 'number 1 enemy' and a 's***hole', as well as declaring that he wanted Britain to go bankrupt, according to The Times.
His account has since been deleted.

UK police in bomb probe cordon off area in Manchester.
LONDON (AP) — British police investigating the Manchester Arena attack cordoned off an area around a car that may be important to the investigation as they hunted Friday for clues about the movements of the suicide bomber.
Officers have put in place a 100 meter (100-yard) cordon around a white Nissan Micra in southern Manchester. They are hoping to piece together Salman Abedi's preparations before the blast that killed 22 people and wounded dozens of others at an Ariana Grande concert.
"This is potentially a significant development in the investigation," Detective Chief Superintendent Russ Jackson said. "We are very interested in anything people can tell us about the movements of this car, and who was in it, over the past months."
Police were also interested in "who may have had access to the car or who may have gone to and from it." As a precaution, people were being evacuated from the nearby Ronald McDonald House, which offers accommodation for families with children who are being treated in the hospital. A local hospital remained working as usual.
The developments came Friday after police released new security camera images of Abedi before the attack, hoping to piece together his actions between May 18 and May 22.

Watching that just now, LL, seems there are suspicions that they've found the bomber's car. Remember, he was seen on CCTV lugging a huge suitcase around, so if it is his car, there are concerns about just what is in it.

Police arrest man at Heathrow in connection to concert blast
LONDON (AP) — Greater Manchester Police say a man has been arrested at London's Heathrow Airport in connection with the investigation of the May 22 bombing of a Manchester concert arena. Police said the 38-year-old man was arrested late Tuesday night. He has not been identified or charged.
Officials say the arrest had been planned and that there was no direct threat to the busy airport. Salman Abedi killed 22 people at the Ariana Grande concert by detonating a bomb. Police say Abedi built the bomb largely on his own but may have the support of a network. Few details of the investigation have been released and no one has yet been charged.
Seven men remain in custody on suspicion of violating the Terrorism Act. Police have released 12 other people without charges.

Manchester attack: UK police request extradition of Salman Abedi's brother from Libya

Manchester attack: UK police request extradition of Salman Abedi's brother from Libya
The brother of the Manchester Arena suicide bomber faces arrest in the UK after British police requested for him to be extradited from Libya.
Hashem Abedi is currently in custody in Libya following his brother Salman’s attack at a concert in June which killed 22 people.
An extradition request was on Wednesday handed to the authorities in Libya where both brothers travelled in April.
Salman then returned alone before carrying out the attack on May 22, which also injured hundreds of concert-goers.
Assistant Chief Constable Russ Jackson, of Greater Manchester Police and head of the North West Counter Terrorism Unit (NWCTU) said: "I can now say that following a review of the evidence by the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service), we have applied for and been granted a warrant for the arrest of Hashem Abedi.
"The arrest warrant relates to the murder of 22 people, the attempted murder of others who were injured and conspiracy to cause an explosion.
"Hashem Abedi is currently detained in Libya and the CPS has now requested that Libyan authorities consider his extradition back to the United Kingdom.
"We are grateful for the Libyan authorities considering this request.
"You will appreciate that we must not do or say anything that might prejudice a fair trial and that this remains an ongoing investigation."
Mr Jackson said the warrant was issued by a judge at Westminster Magistrates' Court in the last fortnight, approved by the Home Secretary and the extradition request handed over to the authorities in Libya today.
The Abedi family, originally from Libya, fled during the Gaddafi dictatorship with his father returning to fight with opposition forces when the uprising began in 2011.
An extradition agreement between the UK and Libya had been agreed in 2009 but since the overthrow of Gaddafi the country has been split into warring factions with the United Nations-backed, internationally recognized Government of National Accord (GNA) struggling to assert control over swathes of the country in the hands of dozens of different militias including ISIS affiliated groups.
Police have previously said they do not think Salman Abedi was part of a wider network but believe others were involved in the planning of the attack and named Hashem as a suspect.
Abedi's bomb has been described as "substantial" in size, and he had put it inside a tin with the shrapnel, nuts and bolts, placed around it.
He detonated the device at the end of an Ariane Grande concert with 353 people, including 175 children, around him in the foyer of the arena venue.
As well as the 22 dead, among the survivors 16 people were very seriously injured including suffering paralysis, loss of limbs, internal injuries, and very serious facial injuries involving complicated plastic surgery and two people remain in hospital.
Security Minister Ben Wallace said: "This was a callous and evil act and the victims and their families deserve and demand justice. They must remain our priority and we will therefore not be commenting further so as not to jeopardise the investigation.
"We have been clear from the outset that we are determined to do everything in our power to ensure that those suspected of being responsible for the Manchester attack are brought to justice in the UK.
"That is why the Home Secretary agreed to request the extradition of Hashem Abedi, who has been named as a suspect by Greater Manchester Police, and we continue to work closely with the CPS, police and Libyan authorities to return him to the UK."
