Queen's Speech
It's not all bad news; seems the Tories have been forced to drop their madder ideas, courtesy of the DUP, and the Speech may actually be rather bland. Turns out the DUP aren't too much in favour of grannies freezing to death in the winter chill of Belfast.
However, Corbyn's Browshirts are still threatening to riot, sorry, I mean 'protest' in the middle of London today.
Just what the emergency services need, on top of everything else.
If Corbyn was what he pretends to be, IMO, he'd call off his attack dogs - but he won't, not when there's a tragedy to be milked.

Far-left activist Tony Gard, 76, is the founder of the Movement for Justice
What's that ancient Trot protesting about - the price of soap and water? Yuck.

Humbled May rips up manifesto as she unveils bare-bones Queen's Speech with laser focus on Brexit - but NO mention of 'dementia tax', grammars or ditching free school meals
The Prime Minister's slimmed down legislative programme has a laser fous on making a success of Brexit
Manifesto pledges on so-called 'dementia tax' social care charges and curbing elderly benefits not included
A free vote on the foxhunting ban, and an end to free school dinners also appear to have been canned
A deal with the DUP to prop Mrs May up in power has still not been reached despite a delay to the speech
First time in four decades that a government has put forward a speech without having an inbuilt majority

Can't imagine what the Tories were thinking about, putting such vote losers into their election manifesto in the first place.

Re: Queen's Speech
No Trump state visit before 2019? US president’s controversial trip to UK is NOT mentioned in Queen’s Speech
Donald Trump's controversial state visit to Britain looks like it has been pushed back to 2019 after it was left out of the Queen's Speech.
The White House has denied reports the US president delayed the trip amid fears it will spark some of the biggest protests the country has ever seen.
But in today's address to Parliament, the Queen made no mention of the promised visit, although she does refer to another state visit by King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain in July.
The Queen's Speech usually sets out all the forthcoming state visits to Britain for the forthcoming year.
In an unusual move, the government said it will not hold another Queen's speech for two years - meaning that Mr Trump's visit looks like it has been kicked back until at least 2019.

They're not even filling the junction in front of Parliament, let alone Parliament Square #DayOfRage ##DayOfWage
Looks a bit of a flop. Must be too hot to storm the barricades. Or something.

Oh, the thugs are out...
A group called the Movement for Justice By Any Means Necessary (MFJ) are marching from Shepherd's Bush to Downing Street today hoping to 'bring down the government'. Pictured: A protester scuffles with police

What does the Corbynista think she's going to acheive by screaming abuse at the police? A great many people are sick of the sight of their ugly, hate-filled faces....

Re: Queen's Speech
http://news.sky.com/story/jeremy-corbyn-gets-rapturous-reception-at-glastonbury-10926081
After receiving a rapturous reception, the Labour leader told thousands of festival-goers that the "number of young people who got involved for the very first time" was inspiring.
They did so, he said, "because they were fed up with being told they don't matter and that their generation was going to pay more to get less in education, housing, health, pensions and everything else".
He added: "Well, it didn't quite work out like that and that politics that got out of the box is not going back in any box because we're there demanding and achieving something very different in our society."
Mr Corbyn encouraged his audience to look at the wall that surrounds the festival. "There's a message on that wall for President Donald Trump," he said, drawing disapproving sounds from the crowd.
"And do you know what it says? Build bridges, not walls."..more vacuous rhetoric at link.
That charlatan is a mirror image of Trump - first class at 'campaigning' and rabble-rousing, but utterly useless at doing anything that doesn't involve bawling down a microphone.
We've got one here - Sturgeon, who came to power on a wave of populist sentiment less than three years ago, speaking to sellout crowds and promising the earth.
She's proven to be utterly useless at actually running things, and has NO political judgement whatsoever. Hero to zero in less than three years. Unfortunately, if he got anywhere near real power, Corbyn would do far more damage than she's been able to.
Remember Syriza? More of the same, promise the earth and be utter disasters in office.

Re: Queen's Speech
Glad to see someone still has a brain! LLOne festival-goer, 32-year-old Claire Herbert from Llanelli in South Wales, said she thought more politicians should speak at such events.
"It is a very good idea. They need to communicate for the people who will be voting for them," she said.
"I've heard people chanting Jeremy Corbyn around the whole site and I'm pretty happy about that as well."
But Darren Garrett, from Gillingham in Dorset, took a different view.
"Quite honestly I don't know why he's even bothering to come here because the festival has nothing to do with politics," the 39-year-old said.
"As for the guy himself, I'm not his biggest fan. I voted Conservative."

Quite, LL. It's not as if history isn't littered with examples of the disasters that occur when power-hungry politicians decide to use young people for their own ends. See Red Guards, Hitler Youth, etc........

Corbyn preaching at Glastonbury said we should build bridges not walls. He failed to mention we now have to build walls on our bridges.
Reality would spoil the rabble-rousing cliche.
