There is no doubt that, since 2007, the case of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann has become one of the most mediatised on a worldwide scale. The girl disappeared in a hotel in Algarve, Portugal, and the news had so much impact that it is currently impossible to find someone who does not know the story.

However, the girl never appeared, and the years have gone by. In 2013, six years after the event, from the United Kingdom the robot portrait of a person was shared, which, supposedly, several witnesses would have seen leaving the hotel on the night of May 3, 2007.

The image had a great echo, and media around the world echoed, and especially impacted a family in Galicia. And it is that the man, or at least the face of the robot portrait, coincides perfectly with that of a man who had also tried to take his two daughters, again in Portugal.

A case similar to Madeleine's
Andrés, the father of the girls, told the newspaper 'La voz de Galicia' that in 2001, six years before the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, he and his family spent a night in Abrantes, Portugal. In order to sleep, they chose a hotel where they coincided with a gentleman who identified as a "gentleman".

"Good night, what pretty girls," he told them just to see them. "He and we were the only tenants of the hotel that night," Andrés reported, who also indicated that "the man's room was contiguous to that of girls," although this was the result of them strange at the time.

«Minutes later, the biggest one called me by telephone», the man continued, who detailed that the girl was half asleep. "Father, have you come to the room?" He asked, and then shouted for the man to enter the room. Then Andrés quickly went there to find him, but he had already left.

When asked what he was doing, the mysterious gentleman explained that he just wanted to see that the girls were well. Before Andrew could ask him more questions, however, the man escaped from the place and did not know anything more about him.

Most surprising, however, was the reaction of the same hotel, and it is that, when Andrés tried to report what had happened, the answer was that he was a regular client and he liked children. "He likes children, but he does not hurt them," they insisted.

The next day the owners of the establishment also arrived, the answer of which was the same when Andrés informed that he wanted to denounce the disappeared gentleman. That is why the Galician family was not able to inform him of what had just happened.

The Galician marriage tried to forget this experience, but in 2013, appeared the portrait robot of the presumed kidnapper of Madeleine. At that moment, Andrés received a call from one of his daughters, from Palma de Mallorca, who insisted that his face sounded.

Shortly after, the same couple saw the images on television, and also confirmed that it was the same person. Then, they decided to call the National Police, to inform him of what had happened.

However, it's been 8 years since the publication of the images, and Madeleine McCann continues without appearing. According to Andrés, after talking to the police, they also contacted Scotland Yard, where the British authorities took a long statement.

They told the United Kingdom that, if they found any news, they would inform them, but "they did not call and, what's worse, the breeding continues without appearing," Andrés regrets. In fact, this Galician father indicated that the disappearance affected him, by a key element: his daughter and Madeleine were "equal."

There are very few on the planet Earth who do not remember the face of Madeleine McCann, the small girl with large eyes and a round face wrapped in her blonde hair. The disappearance in 2007 of this English girl in a hotel in the Algarve has transcended the whole world because of the mysterious nature of the case, because of the collision between the Portuguese and English police, and because of the bizarre versions emanating from the investigation, which even reached to point out the parents themselves as the cause of Madeleine's death. After falling asleep medically, the case flared up again in 2013, when from England they made public the robot portrait of a person seen at the hotel on the fateful night of May 3, which will now be 11 years old. Televisions around the world echoed. And that day a Galician family choked on food. Because one of those two portraits, the most defined, corresponded to the man who years before had tried to take the little daughter from the room of a hotel in Abrantes, a small town in the center of Portugal. "I do not know if that man in the photo kidnapped Madeleine, for me it's the man who tried to take my daughter," says Andrés, a businessman from Miño.

The incident suffered by this family occurred in November 2001, six years before the alleged abduction of McCann. The couple and their two daughters, aged 13 and 5, traveled to Trujillo through Portugal. «The night caught us in a place called Abrantes, we went into a modest hotel where there was nobody when we arrived», says Andrés. When they returned from dinner they crossed an English room and there they saw a man "dressed in a gentleman's style, with his handkerchief, his perfect hair, a wool sweater with a V-neck ...".
