She looks nice, Pedro. What a pleasant change - a young-ish mum as HM Ambassador.

Re: UK Ambassador visits Faro children's home
That reminds me of a story earlier this year. I can't recall if it was mentioned here or not.
Jill Gallard's first trip to the Algarve back in July had a tangential link to the McCann case.
She also learned of activities to make it easier for ex-pats to approach the GNR with problems.

eta No doubt the conspiracy loons and moronic haters of Madeleine McCann, like Hyland (aka veniviedivici) will automatically have Alison listed as Tony's great aunt.

Later in the afternoon the Ambassador visited the offices of the Algarve Resident to meet the management and staff of the newspaper, then, in the delightful setting of the Le Meridien Penina Hotel, the Ambassador and Consul joined a group of British residents active in charity work in the region for afternoon tea. The Ambassador heard about the splendid work done by Alison Blair, founder of the Madrugada end of life charity, who was accompanied by Helen Jones and Dr Jonas Miller. Also present were Patricia Clifford, a long term Algarve resident who was invited to Her Majesty the Queen’s Maundy Money event in London this year, and her husband Tony, Father Haynes Hubbard, senior chaplain at the St Luke’s Anglican Chaplaincy in Praia da Luz, and Mrs Susan Hubbard.
She also learned of activities to make it easier for ex-pats to approach the GNR with problems.
