But of course The British Consulate knew what he had been up to. And Britain has never quite recovered from the shame of Michael Cook.
I simply do not understand why it took The British Government so long to actively intervene. It seems that any corrupt foreign Police Force can do as it pleases with British Citizens abroad.

I an seriously considering not renewing my Passport, at the last cost of 80 Quid some seven or so years ago. What protection will it afford me? And do I actually want to travel to Britain?
