Perhaps a reminder of what Bennett was told - and chose to ignore? And is going to pay a very heavy price for so doing?

What reason has this young lady given for Bennett to now stalk her?
There is only one I can think of and that is, he is a dirty old man!

He is just winding up Ed Smethurst because he knows that there is nothing anyone can do if the girl isn't related, which she almost certainly isn't. And which Bennett almost certainly knows.

Doesn't matter whether or not she is, Sabot.

What sane person winds up a very rich and successful lawyer who has already served him with a writ via Carter Ruck? Bennett shafted himself today.
