I'd say that's pretty much spot on, as they slink away, they'll be blaming anyone they can for lying to them. The fact that it was their choice to eagerly swallow down vicious lies will be forgotten.

No, it's not. It is standard practice for the plaintiffs to request court proceedings be stayed while they consider offers made by the defendants.

If the McCanns had wished to drop the libel case, they would simply have withdrawn the complaint. And all the frantic spinning from Team Gonc is not going to change that.
